With the announcement that Jambo is opening on 7/10, has anyone heard what amenities will be opening there?

@dgbg100106 Because of the uncertainty of the regular rooms at Jambo will be closed for Nov., I switched yesterday to BC and saved money too! Easier to just walk to Epcot and not stress about transportation.

Hopefully, I can get back to AKL in 2021.

So I’ve read that beginning today, 2021 vacation packages are available for booking. Animal Kingdom Lodge is not accepting 2021 bookings as of today, meaning that they either are unsure of an opening date OR don’t intend on opening regular rooms at AKL for quite some time.

Sanna will be crazy. Reduced capacity, and trying to service all of Kidani and the DVC part of Jambo and guests coming in to dine. There are no other restaurants on property, only limited QS at Maji Pool Bar and Sanaa Lounge.

I sure hope so. We’re booked there in mid-November and have been looking forward to it (just like so many others). We’re hopeful that it’ll be opened by then!

What dates are you staying? Please know that you will not get the "real" Kidani experience because of all the restrictions, I hope you can come back at a time when it is fully operational! But the savannahs should all be there for some great views of animals!

You will love the two bedroom. It will have a full kitchen.

Groceries at DVC resorts are basic and expensive. Not sure if they will allow grocery delivery to bell services like they have in the past, or if you can even have it delivered and meet the driver. Restaurants are limited during this Initial Reopening Period -- only Sanaa at Kidani, and it will be at reduced capacity. Limited QS at Maji Pool Bar and Sanaa Lounge. I am hoping they kick it up until Jambo's restaurants are open -- just bring in a food truck, LOL !

No one really knows crowds at pools since they reduced capacity. But it could be problematic if they have DVC guests at Jambo who have to use the Kidani pool if they don't open the Jambo pool.

It is a ten minute walk, but part of it is through parking lot area, which I find strange. They have run shuttles in the past and you could jump on park buses, but not sure if any of that is possible now with reduced capacity and COVID restrictions.

You might consider a quick Uber/Lyft ride to Publix and back. It’s not very far off property, and will have, obviously, a much better selection and much lower prices.

Thanks. I edited my post maybe about the same time you were replying. We're going in late July... not long after re-opening.

What's the possibility that Jambo House and pool may not even be open? (IOW, no point to even walking to Jambo)
