Jambo conversion completed?

I believe I read somewhere that January 28th was the expected completion date for the Jambo room conversions to DVC villas. Does anyone know if that happened? Is the Kudu trail now fully opened? I haven't heard anything about the final units on the Kudu trail being declared into inventory, so I was wondering if the schedule had slipped...

The completion date is supposed to be Jan 29th (today). Completing construction on the remaining villas and declaring them are two different things. They will declare the final units based on the pace of sales. Completed villas that are not yet declared can be rented out (via CRO) for cash.

When I was there a few weeks ago (we came home on the 11th), I asked about the construction on Kudo trail.

I was told the "heavy" construction was complete, and all that was left was decorating/furniture moving, etc on a "few units".

While I can't tell you that they completed all that by yesterday, I'm thinking they probably did, if the info they gave me was correct.

They won't be available for booking on points until they are declared into the condominium. Until then, Disney can rent them via CRO for cash. As new units are declared, I would hope they would go to people on the waiting list. Since they just declared some new units last week, it will probably be a month or two before they declare any more.

It's based on sales so if you want to speed up the process you'll have to buy more points... lots of points...

I just called yesterday to book ANY studio at WDW for Thrusday March 6th for 4 nights. I was put on hold ... for a long time. ( I was beginning to think she had forgotten about me) When she finally came back on she said " I found you a studio at AKV." I said wow... i am surprised! She said she was surprised too, that was what took so long.. It looks like they had more rooms come available. It was a dedicated studio too! I am so happy!
