Jacuzzi pipe "explosion" in #5030 at OKW?

We just returned from a week's stay at OKW - had an amazing week. We were ALL the way down in building 50 - which was fine by us because it was pretty quiet and we enjoy walking. But there was some sort of series of events that caused the pipes in our jacuzzi tub to rattle so loudly we really and truly thought our building was collapsing. The first occasion was at around 1:30 in the morning - another night it was around 12:30, and yet another night was in the early evening hours. I'm really not exxagerating here - it was pretty terrifying that first night. We kept trying to figure out what it could be. It took too long for it to be a toilet flushing, and the late night hours were odd. I was just wondering if anyone had ever had this kind of experience in any of the OKW villas.

Unless someone near you turned on the jacuzzi before they had it filled high enough. That can make the water shoot all over and a lot of racket.

But the turbo toilets are pretty noisy at night, too. I know I got sick on one trip and was visiting the toilet at least every hour that one night. I kept hoping the people near us wouldn't be too upset with me.

DH the plumber - said it could be a "water hammer" - water comes through the pipes and comes to an sudden halt, caused probably by a valve in a toilet, which causes the toilet to run.

This is what I was thinking. Not only would water shoot everywhere and you'd hear an awful lot of noise, but the motor could burn out.

Deb&Bill those turbo toilets ARE loud. Sorry you had to go through that experience. On our last trip to OKW one of my thoughts was "man I hope neither of us gets a stomach bug because the sound of the toliet would drive the other crazy all night!"
