Jacksonville FL Motel

Can anyone give me any suggestions on a relatively nice motel for a cheap price in Jacksonville, FL? We are doing a 2 day drive down and plan to stop in Jacksonville for the night. Preferably one close to I-95 and with a continental breakfast. Thanks!

We've stayed at a few LaQuinta hotels there on the main drive....they are pretty basic hotels but nothing we minded staying at for a night or two. You might even find a decent one on the beach depending on the time of year and enjoy the beach for a few hours before continuing your drive to Disney

We went there to see my husband's grandmother. We stayed in Orange Park. I recommend that area or anywhere south of Jacksonville.

I would also recommend anything south of Jacksonville, maybe St Augustine.

If you can make it a little farther, there is a great new Fairfield Inn at the St. Augustine exit. It's reasonably priced, clean, comfortable, right off the interstate and serves a hot b-fast. (Waffles, heat and serve Jimmy Dean Sausage biscuits) They also had bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, granola, oatmeal, etc.

Our stop is the La Quinta off of Baymeadows...south of Jacksonville. We've stayed here 2x so far, arriving late at night 10pm-midnight and have never had any trouble...in fact on our last stay (2/12) they literally left the light on for us. Usually we reserve online and the cost is $45-$50.
