23rd July
Today we had to be up and on the go early as DH and my dad were doing the Segway tour which I had given them as birthday pressies. Their tour was 9am but the needed to be at guest relations by 8.45am. We left the house in plenty of time and they entered the park and we joined the queue to get in.
They started to let everyone in and we were all heading in the same direction Soarin!!!!! As soon as the rope drop happened we were off the kids were telling us to hurry up and my poor mum nearly had to break in to a jog. We headed into the land and the kids loved all the cast members with their gloves on and got slightly distracted from the mission ahead. We decided to head straight on and get fastpasses on the way out . We loved and got in the 1st row which was our only turn in the front. Off we came and I got fastpasses which was for 11.30 which was just in time for the end of the Segway tour.
The four of us then headed on Soarin again which was now a 20 minute wait. Then it was onto Living the Land, Spaceship Earth,Imagination and the Nemo ride.
By this time it was just after 11am and we met up with DH and Dad . They had massive grins on their faces and I had never seen my dad so animated. It was a big thumbs up for the Segway tour. My dad was a bit worried before he went but said they were really easy to ride and managed to share all the Disney Trivia he learned didnt have the heart to tell him I knew most of it already!!!!!
We stopped to have a drink and I nipped off to get Test Track fastpasses and we then headed off to Soarin. After that it was time for Turtle Talk. DS announced he wanted to as Crush a question and sat up front with his hand up. Crush spotted him and asked him his name and in his broadest Scottish accent told him Lewis to which Crush replied Hi Russ!!!!!! He then got a bit tongue tied and forgot his question It was soooooo funny and DS is still known as Russ( being 6 he is not amused by this!!!!)
We then headed to Electric Umbrella for lunch and then decided to head round the World Showcase to yes you guessed it the Pokemon shop. We stopped off at Mexico for the ride
and then wandered round to Japan where we were trapped as the rains came!!!! DD scared me as she picked up a basket and filled it with Pokemon figures she had saved all her $$$$$ for this very moment. DS also bought some figures and Granny treated then to a Pokemon cuddly and Granda bought them some trading cards.
The rain was still heavy so we wandered about the shop and DD decided she wanted to pick a pearl. She stood up and as she bowed and drums were banged she picked hers and she had twins two pearls and the same size which she wanted me to have so I could have a pair of earrings.
By this time the rain went off and we walked round the rest off World Showcase popping in and out of the various countries.
Back to Future World and on to Test Track with DS and as we went off to have another go the ladies headed to Mousegear for some shopping. By this time is was 5pm and the early start was catching up with the kids so we headed home stopping at Publix for some of their delicious Chicken and the kids had McDonalds.
The kids headed for the pool and my Dad drove me and my Mum to Walmart for a BIG shop!!!! My dad began to loos the will to live as we trailed up and down the isles chucking things in the trolley. I bought some DVDs, toiletries, back to school bits and some Pokemon t shirts I found for the kids. By the time we were home everyone was ready for bed
