Sunday 20th July

We were up nice and early as we were off to DHS today. We were in the van and ready to go by 8.30 am and arrived in the car park at 9am slightly later than I wanted as I wanted to ride Toy Story Mania. The park as we walked in looked quiet but as we made our way to Toy Story Mania we realised that everyone was there. The wait time was already at 50 minutes so we picked up fastpasses which did not kick in until 12.40 !!!!! So we had a walk around and decided to go see the Muppet Show which we all love

– it is great to see all the kids trying to touch what is appearing in front of them!! As we came out of the show DS saw the tattoo stand being set up and IndianaMickey caught his eye – one of the reasons we came to DHS was DS was beside himself to see the Indiana Jones stunt show so we let him have the tattoo.

Then we headed to Star Tours and DH and the kids went on as I bought a few Christmas pressies in the shop. When we came out of Star Tours the Jedi Training started. The kids wanted to watch but would not put up their hands to take part. DS was speechless when Darth Vader appeared – it made his day.

By this time we needed to head of to Indiana Jones to get a seat – it is a big space but got very hot waiting . It wasn’t too long before it started and DS sat open mouthed as the show went on – I love these Disney moments. All to soon the show was finished and it was onto the Indiana Jones shop where DS wanted to spend some money – he was a bit disappointed with the choice but bought a pin and a treasure map???.

Now it was time for Toy Story Mania – I was soooo excited about riding this as having been to WDW 13 times I love to ride new attractions. The themimg to this ride is excellent and enjoyed passing through the queue line and then onto the ride. The ride itself was great fun and I could had ridden in again and again but by the time we came out the fastpass was closed for the day.

We had an ADR for Sci Fi Diner at 1.10pm so headed there – I really wanted to eat here because I knew everyone would enjoy the theming and they did. It was a fantastic atmosphere but felt the food let it down. Everyone was disappointed by what they got to eat so we probably would not go back.

Once we had finished lunch the kids wanted to go to the Playhouse Disney show – I was a bit surprised by this as I thought they were was to old for this but they wanted to do it. DH bailed on this one so I went in with the kids. They came out and broke the news that the show was for babies and they will not be going back!!!!! We then had a look in the Animation shop and then had a wander through the shops before going back to the Villa.

My mum and dad wanted to go shopping by themselves so with Tom Tom tucked under their arm off they went and we settled down by the pool. It was really nice having some time to ourselves and we had good fun playing about in the pool. It was a glorious evening and we all sat out until the sun went down before the kids passed out and we settled down with a drink.

My mum and dad did find the shops, my dad did managed to get lost and they managed to fall out – nothing new there .

Great pics, shame about the food at the scfi diner, I was going to give it a try this trip

Another fab report. I've heard mixed reviews about the SciFi diner. When we ate there the food was okay, nothing magical but we enjoyed the theming of the restaurant.

The indiana mickey tattoo is cute, i'm not showing my bf as he will only want one! :lmao: I wasn't keen on the food at scifi either, the theming is great though.

Great day, shame about your food.We can't wait to try Toy Story Mania.x.

Great day at DHS, shame about the Sci Fi Diner though.

Lovely report again.:) I don't know about the kids reaching out to touch things in the Muppets 3D, I have seen plenty of adults too.:rotfl:

We all loved the Toy Story Mania ride too. I loved trying to put a hoop over the little green alien toys the best.

Great pic's. :thumbsup2

I love the Sci Fi, we go every time but always stick to the burgers as they are nice - have heard lots of bad reviews about the other food they serve though.

Another great day. Shame about Sc-fi. I keep hoping someone will say it is worth it :sad2:

My mum and dad did find the shops, my dad did managed to get lost and they managed to fall out – nothing new there .

Sounds just like my MIL and FIL

Another great day. Shame about Sc-fi. I keep hoping someone will say it is worth it :sad2:

I loved the theming and so did the kids. I wouldn't say I would never go back but DHS have some other places I want to try :)

Looking forward to the Toy story ride & your Ds tattoo was great :thumbsup2

Great day, I can't wait to ride TSM. Love your son's tattoo, I always have to get one when we are in DHS. I agree, we love the theming of the Sci Fi, I just wish the food was better.

Laur's princess:

The Mickey Tattoo looks wicked - I want one!!

I can't wait to do the Toy Story ride.
Shame about Sc-fi. I keep hoping someone will say it is worth it :sad2:
We did! :yay:

We read all these dire reviews and in the end decided we'd just go for a milkshake/dessert. However by the time we got there we were all ravenous so we all had burgers and fries. So it was either as a result of our hunger or because we were expecting the very worst but we actually enjoyed our food! :goodvibes

I'd definitely go again. :goodvibes

The sci fi dinner is worth it alone for the theming. Really like prime time as well so a hard choice for lunch when at the studios.
