Jack Sparrow Costume - Anyone else still trying?

If so, how many codes have you entered?

Personally, I've entered somewhere around 4,500 codes total give or take a couple hundred. About 1,500 of those were in the first couple days when the trick was still available. Since then, I've had people in an icon community I run help me gather codes, as well as continuing to get codes myself, but still no luck in getting the costume.
I enter most of the codes on a spare account ever since I got a warning for typing codes too fast the first day. I've slowed down my typing so I haven't gotten any more warnings.

The way I figure it, if the chances are 1 in 5,000, and lots of people get it after a few hundred codes, then there's gotta be people like me entering thousands of codes and getting nothing but junk, right? Anyone else still entering codes?

After entering hundreds of codes over about a week I got burnt out and gave up. still bummed out about it but I have better things to do than enter codes all day for something it seems unlikely that I will get.

All I've got to say is that those who actually got one are lucky duckies!

I have just about given up. I still put in a few codes once in a while. I wanted it so much at first, but I realized I don't really like what it looks like very much! If I got one, I would trade it.

I've been entering codes everyday hoping to get the Sparrow costume. I'd say I'm up to about 1500. Yes, I've got lots of junk now, but I can gift it or sell it back. Even at 5 credits a piece, it still adds up.

How do you type codes quickley? What takes the most time for me is having to click on ok (because enter doesn't work like it does in windows) then click to shut the message window that pops up. Anything around that?

Well I type quickly anyway (I think I tested at around 80-90wpm), and if you keep the pop-up open in the background you don't have to shut it everytime.

I can type very fast just not when looking at a sheet of paper then back to type the code I like to type like short storys or things in my head fast or on vmk short sentances rofl I entered 3 codes total rofl

if you right click on the code, go down to select all, right click again, go down to copy, then paste it into a word program like notepad, you can just use that next to the vmk window to enter them.

The odds ARE one in five thousand. It doesn't mean you will get it if you enter five thousand codes. You could enter around 20,000 and still not get one. I think i've got no luck. Or bad luck.

well yeah I know that. I just figured the chances would improve. Ugh.

I've limited myself to 200 codes a day + what my friends donate so that it doesn't stress me out so much, but since I was getting close to 5,000 I started entering codes like mad again today. I think I entered 500. I guess I'll just go back down to 200 a day.
