Okay this is just plain crazy. I left for work this morning and it was rain mixed with ****. Then I drop my DD off a daycare (less than 10 mintues from home) and when I come out my car is covered in ****. So now it is ****ing and I am driving to work. The radio said 50 state highways are closed due to various flooding. There is a state of emergency for the entire state (NJ) but my office is still open dispite encouragement from other agencies to close. So anyhow who let Jack Frost run wild in the middle of April?

PS can my spring scrapbook challenge be photos of my bloomed bulbs with **** on them???? :)

Yep, check over on the scrapbooking thread.. the challenge for the month is spring flowers!!! :)

You poor thing.. it's 40 degrees here and I'm complaining.. State of Emergency..I so would have called in!!! Stay safe.. and if it gets much worse.. go home!!!

We even had a 2 hour delay! In April! Unheard of. Well, I'm enjoying it in any case. PJs, mug of hot chocolate. Don't have to get DS to school until 10:45. Ahhh. It is awful here. Lots of wind, not so much sn**, but a mix. I'm sure it's ic*. :)

Wicked rain and wind here last night. Everything has settled down and I walked the yard. We only lost 1 huge brach and a few small limbs here and there. The power flickered a bit but thankfully we still have lights.
I was up til 5 this morning listening to the wind.

We are due for S%#@ in April, when DH and I got married 14 years ago there was still some on the ground and that was 4/24. I'm concerned with hurricane season. New England hasn't had a big one since Gloria and that was over 20 years ago. We are way over due.

I remember Gloria. I was in elementary school and we were living in Connecticut. Of course I was in Miami by the time Andrew came through.

Yep going on 22 years. I remember it well. My dad was still in the Coast Guard and he had to stay on base. My mom had just had my brother, he was about 6 weeks old. We drove up to my aunts house in MA because our house didn't have any walls. We were in the middle of replacing the side wall of the house, we left it with just plastic over it.
We lost 4 trees I think. But the house survived without a scratch.
