LOL! :teeth:

there are a couple of threads here on the CB regarding these new radio stations named after one-syllable guy's names. Ours is Doug, but Jack and Bob are a couple of the others. Do you have one not yet listed here?
I think that "Ralph FM" would be a good one.

these stations play EVERYTHING under the sun and they don't have disc jockeys as the music is all computer programmed.

I have heard songs on Doug FM that I completely forgot ever existed. It is something different.

My friend just mentioned this today.
We have Jack-FM here in Dallas/Ft. Worth area and I love the station.
Stuff I grew up listening to and hardly any talk. I don't get how they are in other markets but tune-in, I think you will like it.

I guess it's all in the ears of the beholder...

JACK replaced New York's only oldies station that had been an institution for years. I'm sure it appeals to a lot of youger people, but so do a host of other stations. This was a real kick in the teeth!

We have Ted FM here.
LOL! another one :teeth:

Why leave out the ladies? I think they should have some names that could be either for a Man or a Woman such as "Pat FM" or "Chris FM" or "Sam FM"

It's Simon here. It actually makes me feel old when I hear something from when I was younger and think, "I wish other stations played these songs!"

We have MIKE FM here. They seem to play a decent mix of songs. I just have such a hard time accepting that the songs from the 70s and 80s are now "oldies." :earseek:

Wow! Simon and Mike too?

The DIS is awesome..... I never would have found out about all these if it weren't for the CB. :teeth:
I'll have to tell the guys at work who were talking about Doug FM that Doug has many friends all over the country.

Another Jack FM here. It replaced a sappy "soft music" station. I've listened a few times and I like it! I don't listen to the radio much anymore. We recently got Syrius for our cars (after much convincing from my dh) and LOVE it!! I can't rave enough about satellite radio. No commercials, and a better choice of music. Wish I'd gotten it sooner!

We love Doug FM! :cool1: My DD & her friend's are upset though, they liked the music the station used to play.

Indianapolis has a station called Hank that is supposed to play all kinds of country and I've read about a station somewhere called Frank. (That's not counting the XM stations that are called Frank's Place and Hank's Place). :)

We have Jack FM too, and love it!

So funny that there are other "names" too.

We also have a Jack, but I have never listened to them so I don't know if I like them or not! I usually just do books on tape. I guess I will have to listen the next time I am in the car.

Same here in Indy. It stinks IMO. Hopefully it's a fad.

Same here in Chicago. Took over an oldies station with DJ's we grew up with and replaced it with JACK. Yuck!

We have a Jack FM in the greater L.A. area. Replaced a classic rock station. I've only tuned in a couple of times and only stayed for a few seconds. I'm told it's a good station for people my age, but it hasn't sounded good when I've tried it.

We have Mike FM, I think it is out of Boston. I have it in my presets in the car. It is kind of neat because I never know what I am going to find there.

We have "JACK FM" in Toronto. Jack has gone international...one more step to world dominance. LOL.

Another Mike FM here.
They were talking about it on Howard Stern this morning, but they were more making fun of the DJ's that have been laid off than anything else.

BEN in Philadelphia replaced a popular alternative rock station, causing quite a bit of controversy. BEN plays a variety of genres.
