I love these. How early do you think you can carve your pumpkins and have them last til the holiday? Does anybody have any good sites for patterns for carving?

We don't carve it until a couple of days before Halloween (although it's sitting uncarved on the front porch now.)

Same here. Once Halloween is over the squirrels get the carved pumpkins in the backyard.
