J.W. Marriot for work -- other options?

I have a convention coming up in late July/early Aug. at the J.W. Marriot. I've been trying to search for other alternatives out there to see what could be a cheaper option. I would need 2 rooms and there would be 3 or 4 adults -- no kids. I am planning on renting a car, but really don't want to pay for the rental car and then to park it every night. I'm pretty sure the J.W. Marriot charges for parking. Our parent company hasn't yet released the convention rates yet, so I'm not sure what price point I can compare it to. I don't know what other hotels/condos/rental houses are around that side of town and would make an easy drive to the J.W. to get to and get back to our hotel.

I do not know what type of convention you are attending but for the purposes of socializing, networking, sales, and just plain being close to the boss, stay at the convention hotel. It could be well worth the extra $ that you will spend at the J.W. vs. elsewhere.

I have stayed at that hotel. If your company will pay for it STAY. It's really really nice!

JW marriott is only close to the ritz-carlton

there aren't any cheap alternative really close.

the closest would be seaworld hotels.
