Iwant to buy DVC,but I've got ???

I'm interested in muying DVC at Wilderness Lodge. What other amounts occur besides the purchase price. I got the video and watched it. But I'm sure there's more than the initial price. Anything that I need to know, please let me know. I will appreciate any info.

Since the Villas at Wilderness Lodge (VWL) are sold out, you will probably have to buy a resale, which will incur closing costs.

If you buy Saratoga Springs (SSR) directly through Disney there are no closing costs.

All timeshares, including DVC, have annual maintenance fee's & real estate taxes. I am not sure what they are for VWL, maybe another person can help you with that. (Somewhere near $4 per point, give or take a few cents I would guess.)

If you buy SSR through Disney and have your payments debited out of your bank account, they will take a small amount out each month. Otherwise, all of your fee's & taxes are due in January or February.

One other thing to keep in mind. If you buy a resale the points are good until 2042. If you buy at SSR the points are good for 50 years.

Also when looking at a resale make sure you know exactly what you are getting. Have this years points already been used etc. If you need a referral as to who to buy from I'll be happy to give you a name - just pm me.
