I heard Matt Damon talk about Decatur on some talk show the other day(we live a couple of hours away), but didn't catch what he was talking about. Now I know!

Future acting possibilities.....maybe. They both really enjoyed being on the set, although they didn't really have any 'acting' to do per se. We do live fairly close to Chicago and many movies, shows, commercials are filmed there. I took Brendan up to Chicago last fall for an open casting call for the new Avatar movie, but nothing came of it. Ryan couldnt even make it for the audition because it was the day before his first freshman football game. No missing practice allowed.

They are so busy with high school, football, etc right now. Maybe sometime down the road.

Name of the movie is Secretariate, based on the famous race horse. There is an open casting call this Sunday. They need 4000 extras for a crowd scene I guess. I'm going to try make it to the casting call.

Yes, you definitely should do that. I didn't even go to the casting call here in Decatur. In fact, they said specifically that they didn't need kids. They gave an email address to send pics to and I sent in our family picture.

And they really wait till the last moment to call extras. Don't expect to hear until a day or two before they need you.

We got the call on Wed afternoon and they wanted to see the boys the next morning, they wanted to know if Ryan had a suit. Thursday morning as soon as they picked him from the 4 kids they had he went right to get the family pics taken after hair and makeup.
