...if your mother is still alive tell her you love her tomorrow. I wish I still had mine to hug. So give your mom an extra hug from Boots!

I sure will! :)
And here's a great big {{{{{HUG}}}}} for Boots!! :) :) :)

I agree! I normally work on Mother's Day, and then go see Mom for a bit in the evening. But, she and I both have been going through some serious health problems in the past few weeks, so I am taking Mother's Day off. DH and I are picking my parents up about 8:00 a.m. and heading north to Mackinaw City. We'll do some sightseeing, shopping, eating, etc. and we have reservations to stay overnight at one of the hotels on the beach so we'll have a nice view of the Mackinaw Bridge. Then we'll head home Monday afternoon. It will be nice to spend time with my parents, even if the weather is as crappy as they say it's going to be. :)

Yep...I wish I had one to hug too.

Hug them while you got them!!

I will hug her for you Boots! Here's one for you! {{{{Hugs}}}}

My mother has decided for her special day she would like to have Chinese food from a local restaurant for dinner, a yellow cake with chocolate frosting and low fat chocolate, strawberry and vanilla ice cream for dessert. :p For the first time in her life, she is going to have a charm bracelet! She wants the charms on her bracelet to reflect her life. :) I bought her two charms to start. I can't wait to see which charms she picks out at WDW. :p

I agree - I would give anything to tell mine I lover her just one more time. :(

My dad died several years ago so I know how precious time is. My mom is far away in Louisiana, but we talk every day!! My sister lives close to her and we got her a neat gift, something she has been wanting. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms on the DIS!!! Lacee

aMEN, Boots!

I miss mine more and more everyday. It's like a hole in my soul. I find peace in knowing that she is no longer in pain but I miss her so much.

I just saw a Golden Girls where Dorothy said "It doesn't matter how old you are when you lose a parent you might as well be six."

I'm six, today.

God bless,

Robinrs

The first Mother's day after my Mom died aged 56 (very suddenly), I walked through a card shop and was assailed with the Mother's day cards and all the people lucky enough to buy them,I felt like smashing the place up and resentful of anyone who still had their Mom to love.

Six years on I'm not angry but always will be sad.Hope you all made a great fuss of your Moms:)

Robin that is so true. When my Mom died and I went to pieces my MIL who was trying to help said 'You have to be strong you have 3 children to look after, you are a Mother'.But I couldn't be a Mother, especially that first week,I was a child who had lost her everything.

Agreed, Boots. My mom died in 1985 when she was 60. We were best friends and even though we lived four hours apart, we spoke on the phone at least weekly for hours. My parents bill must have been like the national debt. She never got to meet her grandchildren. My husband was out to sea when she died (career submariner) and my in-laws said that I'd always have my 'other mother'. I suppose they were trying to help, but it went through me like a hot knife.

I did last year for you, Ellen and I will do it again this year!! Also, here's a big {{{{{HUG}}}}} for you!:D

Ahhhh, Boots thanks for the reminder!!!!
Here's a ((((((((((((((((((HUG)))))))))))))))))) for you!

Holycow

So true! I wish my mom were close enough to hug but, a phone call to say "I love you" will have to do until I can see her in June.

((((((((((((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))))))))))))))) to you Boots!

I am lucky I have my mom, both grandmothers (one turned 100 Easter weekend) and my MIL....I will Boots thanks :)

Good reminder, Grandma Ellen.:) I tell my mom I love her often.:)

Btw, {{hugs}} Grandma Ellen. May your days be filled with love and laughter, and may your "other" kids give my kids little cousins someday soon.;)
