I rang today to book California Grill for our special night out without the kids. I've left it far to late and can only get 9:30pm for 19 December (fireworks at 9:00pm) I tried about 12 different dates and this was the best I could get. I didn't expect much better as I should have booked back when I did all our other ADR's. I had to wait for the grandparents ok that they would babysit that night. I'm disapointed but will keep trying as we get closer. Fingers crossed.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you! And, yes, keep trying-people cancel all the time. Have you considered any other Signature dining spots?

Yes, we did consider some others. Narcoosees would have been our next choice. But I have always wanted to eat here. Well ever since I have known about it. We looked at all the menus of the signature restaurants and found a lot we would like, but ultimately, I think I would be disapointed if I didn't get to eat here. After all, where else could we get a view like that?

Good luck! I would continue to call disney dining to attempt to get a reservation time that works better for you.

I would also try the day before you'd like to eat as this reservation requires a credit card and a 24 hour cancellation notice. People have to cancel at the last minute for all kinds of reasons.

If you can't get anything earlier, don't fret about the 9:30 ADR. Just go early and ask to be seated at the bar if there is room. Then go out onto the viewing platform to see the fireworks before your meal seating.

The great thing about the very late ADR's is there are usually less children and the noise level goes down a bit there.

Ca Grill has wonderful food and a breath-taking panoramic view. You should still have a wonderful time.
