I've got to rope drop FOP

It's my mistake - I made my fast passes on my 60 day mark, but mistakenly got it for pm instead of am. Of course there are no more fast passes left for Flight of Passage, so I'm going to rope drop it. The day we're going is an early opening day at 8 am. Does anyone have any advice for rope dropping this attraction? Thank you!!

I’ve done it. In fact we didn’t realize the park opened at 8 that day instead of 9 like we thought, so we got there at 7:35 and they had already let people head towards the ride. We got in line and it took about an hour to ride but it wasn’t that big of a deal. If you get there earlier than we did it will be fine. The line looked crazy long but it moved pretty well. Next time we plan to get there about an hour or so ahead of opening. I don’t care to push our way to be the first people on, I am fine with a little wait- so I’m not going to be too stressed about it.

I'll keep checking from now till July 1 when we ride it. So maybe I'll get lucky that way. Do you do refresh till the attraction you want comes up?

Keep trying for day of. I rope dropped it the September after it opened. We got there really early and were in the first group on and it was wonderful. We had no children with us though and we walked fast. I'm sure it isn't quite so bad now but I wouldn't want to do it with children under 12 with me.

Do you do refresh till the attraction you want comes up?

Modify the FoP FP and keep refreshing until an earlier time pops up. Grab that time and Confirm then you can begin the Modify + Refresh to see if an earlier time pops up. Continue as many times as you’d like.

Yes because people change their plans daily and you are Modifying the one you hold which may be easier to pick up open FP slots.

Keep checking for FPs, especially for day-of availability. No one plans to cancel a FP 10 days ahead but plans often change the day of, making an open FP window.

For rope drop arrive at around 6am for an 8am opening. They should let you in anywhere between 7am-7:40am. Good luck!

We didn't have FPs for FoP so we did rope drop at AK and it worked out great!! We basically walked right into the ride, and when we got out the wait was only an hour so we went on again! And the wait turned to be only 45 minutes. This was a few weeks ago.

Arrived about 5 minutes before rope drop and walked straight to FOP. In 45 minutes, we were off the ride. Great experience!

As othes have said, keep checking, they do become available.
There do appear to be FP drops for AK, EPCOT and HS at least so keep checking the day of.
Worst case, be in line for the tapstyles an hour before park opening for RD.
