While some of the point categories are higher than the other resorts, the dues are lower.
So if one were to calculate the maintenance fees paid for the points used for a villa at one of the current
DVC resorts, and then calculated the maintenance fees paid for the points used for a similar villa at BLT, the difference in actual $$$ spent is pretty close.
For example, BCV, Adventure season, Studio weekdays, is 12 pts/night. If maintenance fees are around $4.50 then a night requires about $54 in maintenance fees.
BLT is 12 points also but dues are about $0.80 less, so the cost for that night is about $44/night.
Go to LV at 15 pts, the cost is about the same as the BCV room even though it's more points.
Of course, using BCV points (or worse yet, VB points) to stay at BLT would be the highest 'cost' factor. The opposite is also true, using BLT points to stay at OKW results in the lowest 'cost' factor.
