My guide faxed me an official one (she could not e-mail it) :thumbsup2 If anyone would like to know points per night, I would be happy to post it.

Thanks!! And I am assuming that the "seasons" are for 2009. I forgot when it is supposed to open- Fall '09 right?

I think that first occupancy is Sept '09. I wonder if I am the only one who was able to get their guide to them send a points chart. I don't know that she was supposed to do that, but it has helped sort out how many points we might want as an add-on :wizard:

So what do you think the odds will be getting a ressie here at a 7 month window in the next few years for the summer months? I soooo wish we would have bought there, oh well, here's hoping I'll get to stay there someday.

I really don't know what to think. If I thought there was a good chance of getting a reservation at 7 months out for October or December (I have an October use year), I wouldn't be thinking about the add-on. I have a bad feeling that if we don't have the 11 month booking advantage, we'll never be able to get in when we would want to stay there

I'm sorry, but to pay double the points to stay in a MK view at BLT as appossed to OKW is not worth it. I'll stay two nights at OKW over one night at BLT anyday.

To me ... and many others ... it is totally worth it :hippie:

I am hoping for just one night in Feb 2010...We are going on the Disney Cruise President's week and we want to stay in Disney the night before...We would only need Sat night...

I hope we will be able to get it at 7 months out :genie:

The standard view rooms compare pretty similarly to the points required at BCV. Give or take a point here or there.

I would think that the standard rooms would book first for DVCers trying to save points. Then the MK view rooms for those DVCers wanting to splurge. Just my .02

While some of the point categories are higher than the other resorts, the dues are lower.

So if one were to calculate the maintenance fees paid for the points used for a villa at one of the current DVC resorts, and then calculated the maintenance fees paid for the points used for a similar villa at BLT, the difference in actual $$$ spent is pretty close.

For example, BCV, Adventure season, Studio weekdays, is 12 pts/night. If maintenance fees are around $4.50 then a night requires about $54 in maintenance fees.

BLT is 12 points also but dues are about $0.80 less, so the cost for that night is about $44/night.

Go to LV at 15 pts, the cost is about the same as the BCV room even though it's more points.

Of course, using BCV points (or worse yet, VB points) to stay at BLT would be the highest 'cost' factor. The opposite is also true, using BLT points to stay at OKW results in the lowest 'cost' factor.

Just an observation.

I just wanted to say thank you for posting the points chart for BLT! :worship:
Been searching and searching the member site and getting very frustrated, so thanks!
