I've found the perfect theme park shoes!

Can I ask a dumb question? Do you wear socks with the Skechers?

I haven't been wearing socks during winter but the past couple of weeks it has been heating up here in QLD so I've felt the need for something, I found these great sockettes in Target that are thick like a sport sock but are shaped just like a sockette so you can't see them.

I just ordered a second pair of Skechers from Amazon for $46.90 (in grey), I got a pair for dh for $60 (normally $119 in here) plus I added in a Passporters DCL guide book (as you do), and the postage was only $26.46 for the lot! Total cost $150.44 was $50 less then buying the two pairs of shoes here....crazy!!!

Sad, isn't it?

I bought myself a pair of Skechers GoWalk shoes for work (additional needs assistant at a kindy), and from the first day I have been in foot heaven! No blisters, no aching arches and no aching legs. So I decided right away that these will be my new "theme park shoes".
I had to pay the disgusting Aussie price of $89, but in the USA they are around $49 so I will be buying a couple of pairs when I go there in April.

Just thought I'd share, I know there are a lot of you that share my theme park shoe issue!

Thanks for the post! I'm always searching for the perfect WDW shoes. Last year I brought 3 pair with me, never wore any of them because they just weren't that great, flip flops were the best for me. I'll give these a try but I'm seeing several different styles. Which ones did you get? GoWalk, GoWalk 2, laces, elastic laces, slip-on (no laces)?

Mine are the Go Walk slip on, http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0058XLMLU/ref=pe_385040_30332200_pe_309540_26725410_item these are the ones I've just ordered on Amazon.
I always wear Flip Flops (we call them thongs ;) ) and these are the first comfortable pair of covered in shoes I have owned!!!

Thanks for posting the link through. I was going to order from the sketchers US site. I signed up for their Elite club which gives you 20% off the first order and free US shipping. But this price is much better even after the discount.

Though i will get them shipped to the hotel to save on postage. That's one less item to pack!

I thought I would just add to this thread to say that I bought the most wonderful pair of sandals the other day. They're called Teva Zirra and they will be perfect on the days when I'm just too hot at WDW to wear covered shoes. Plus they're designed to be worn in wet and slippery environments, so will be good for the wet rides and wet days.

I have Plantar fasciitis from years of wearing unsupportive flip flops. To avoid a lot of pain, I either have to buy shoes with good arch and heel support, or buy expensive orthopaedic insoles.

These sandals are so comfy and supportive, despite what their skinny little straps might suggest. Plus they're the easiest sandals I've ever bought for putting on and tightening.

On the downside, they are a tad ugly. But with the pain I sometimes suffer in my feet, I stopped worrying about high fashion quite a long time ago.

I bought a pair of these before a recent trip to Europe. I have plantar fascitis too and they were so comfortable. I wore them walking all day in Athens, Mykonos and Ephesus and on the ship in the warmer weather for over a week. My PF was better after wearing and walking in these than it ever has in custom orthotics! I love mine.

:thumbsup2 That's great to hear.
