I've finally lost it

I am completely and utterly mad, round the twist, loony tunes

Don (my colleague - bless him, for he keeps me sane) and I have just been talking about books and all of a sudden I had a major brainwave about what the title of my April 2008 trip report would be

It was such an inspiration, I was smiling away to myself and Don asked what I was smiling at. This, of course, was my first mistake - I told him

When I'd finished explaining, he looked at me for a long, long time, shook his head and said 'You're wasted here, Joh, do you know that'

So now I'm so excited I might just have to start writing my pre-trippy for my April trip

Anyway, the long and short of it, is that I have decided I am quite obviously completely mental Given the recent developments with my DS and his new found friend I am obviously in good company though

I remember Samuel having a "friend" called Mousey and I got so beeping sick of deferring to the darn thing ("I can't do/eat/play that, Mousey says it's stupid/horrible/boring" etc etc) that I pretended to eat it one morning on the way to school. Really insane idea - DS took it so badly that I had to simulate regurgitation in order to resolve the situation and stop him sobbing! Fortunately it worked but did I mention I was on a packed Parisian bus at the time???!!!!! I got so many knowing "Ah ze crazee engleesh looks"...

Oh my Karen - that makes me look totally sane We haven't had any of the blaming Tigger stuff - yet! But he does make me stop the car cos Tigger's taken his seat belt off or hasn't got in yet and last night poor Tigger spent 10 minutes on the naughty spot for jumping on the bed

It was one of my least glorious parenting moments! Neither of my other 2 had imaginary friends so when Mousey appeared without warning it was a little weird. I was rather happy when he left without saying goodbye about a year later. Mind you, this from a kid who claimed that Scary Spice talked to him from his Spice Girls poster!

Actually I might have to remind him of that as he's just had his 14th birthday...

We went to some trouble to get DD a teletubbie poster when they were at the height of their popularity. I was so pleased to get one and put it up in her room but a few days later DD came running into my room at bed time screaming "Dipsy is staring at me!" The poster had to come down and never went back up.
