Joined the forum a couple of months ago and was totally overwhelmed by the whole booking a WDW holiday. But after hours and hours of surfing this forum and reading recommendations and reviews I've finally booked. :cool1::cool1:
Booked 19 nights at the SSR - second week in August. Traveling with husband and 2year old daughter. ;)
Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who contributed recommendations, reviews and comments and they were all a great help. I know I'm going to have tons more questions like what area in SSR is best to stay in and how can I make my 2yo's birthday (turning 3 while we are there) a little more special. :goodvibes

Also gonna need advise on how best to contain excitement until departure date!!:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

YAY!:cool1: you will have a fabby time! we booked our 2nd visit last night which will be our disneymoon!! staying at Pop in May with our 4yr old daughter, am so excited and have booked two ADR's already!!!

This forum is fantastic:hug:

yay lucky you.
I so want to book too, ive got to wait until next year though :sad2:

im sure youll get loads of help with your questions.xx :goodvibes

Happy Planning!!!!!
Can't help with SSR but waiting for other questions.:goodvibes

Congratulations! Be warned though, When you go once it's very easy to pick up the bug to want to go back again asap!!:rotfl:
My missus and In-laws have all been paid today, so have transferred their moneys through to me to pay for our flights all in one go.
I am like Tigger at my desk in work today!! I want to click that final confirmation button asap!! :cool1:

Congratulations. We're staying at SSR from 13 Aug as we enjoyed it so much last year. We stayed at the Grandstand, which I would recommend with a little one. It is the first pick up, it's pool area as water fountains and bar with a refillbable drinks machine and it is only about 5 mins from the main pool and resort centre. Staff were so friendly & helpful.

Thanks everyone!
We are so excited. I get knots in my stomach everytime I think about it. We were there in 2005 for our honeymoon. We stayed off site and really didn't make the most of the whole Disney experience but we hope to do just that this time around. :cool1:
My little one is a huge Mickey Mouse fan but an even bigger Buzz Lightyear and Woody fan. She actually screams when she sees them. :lmao:
My next big decision is where to stay at the SSR complex. I know we might not get the area we request but one can at least ask! :wizard:
As Stephenmum said the Grandstand might be good with a toddler but perhaps Congress might be good too as it's closer to DTD.
We don't have to worry about buses to the parks as we are hiring a car.

Any information or feed back would be great. :yay:

Congrats!! I am staying at SSR too but in September and am so looking forward to it. I'm thinking it's going to be full of Brits between August and October though, what with the deal that's on just now! Yeah!!

Happy Planning.

Hey,

can't help with SSR (sorry) but just wanted to say congrats on booking. It's the best feeling isn't it?! We've just booked our flights and villa so I'll join you in the excitement :goodvibes

Hope there is plenty of seats around the pool, could be more at the pool than in MK :rotfl2:

was hoping there would be room at the bar- maybe we should warn them to put on extra staff:rotfl:
