Hi All - :wave2:

My next Disney trip is in a couple of months and I can't stop planning and reading anything and everything that has to do with :worship: DisneyWorld.

Last night I couldn't get to sleep so I found myself laying in bed thinking about our reservations at POR and what other things I need to take care of. It was 2am when I got up from bed and got out my WDW Planning Guide and started reading. :cloud9:

Am I alone or have you found yourself going through this as well? :ssst:

Should I seek help?

Thanks!
Ely

You are so not alone. Our first trip with our two dds ( 5 and 7) is in March. I just found this board last week and I look at it everyday along with my WDW guide book. I'm so excited, we are surprising the girls so they have no idea.

"Hello,my name is Chris,and I'm a Disneyaholic"....no NOT alone!!!! :rotfl2:

You are definately not alone. My husband thinks I'm insane. But hey, all the other adults going with us are happy that I save them so much money and learn cool tips and tricks! Thank goodness for these boards so I know I'm not alone. Otherwise, I may have to have myself commited!

Our trip is not till Sept and I cannot stay off these boards, and when I'm not on them I'm reading the Unoffical Guide. I'll even admit to neglecting the housework a little bit. I'm addicted.

My husband tells everyone I have a "sickness" for disney, although he secretly loves it too. I admit I do have a love for all things disney, but I'm not too crazy about it. This past december we had reservations at CRT at 8:00 in the morning, we were there for the park opening and as the gates opened for the day, grown adults were RUNNING into the park, that was funny - I'm not THAT bad!!

One of us! One of us!!! :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earboy2:

I was soooooooo happy when I found the DIS years ago...it was so great to find "others" out there just like me! Not to mention I have about every guide and trivia book printed plus hundreds of WDW websites bookmarked!!

You are NOT alone!!! ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo

We call it "feeding the addiction" in our house.

Yes, I should be working right now...........but I can't help it............

I too am a disney addict.

Mrs. PB

The exact same thing struck me and now I belong to DVC and have infected my family   . Same thing happened to me last night. Our trip isn't until December and last night I had my along I-75 book out planning lunch stops, hotel stops, stopping at the Florida welcome center and then the Disney Ocala welcome center. Checking flights for the non drivers, to early I know but I couldn't help myself. Susan

Am I the only man here that has this "sickness?" Found this site several months ago, when we started plannning for our first trip to WDW and it's now someplace I "hang out" alot while surfing at work. Very unproductive, but what can I say, I'm so looking forward to taking Mrs. GG and my two teenagers for this once in a lifetime trip.

I live in southern California, about 20 minutes from DL (yes, we're AP's) and yesterday, at church, I found a woman who went to WDW last summer (FW Cabins) and proceeded to talk to her for almost an hour, picking her brain apart. She was a BIG help in some of my planning, but this MB is a goldmine, too!

My biggest concern is that I've put so much stock in this "once-in-a-lifetime" trip that I'm concerned about the "withdrawls" or "Post-WDW Depression" I'm going to suffer when our July 05' trip ends. I'm counting on DL & DCA to help ease the problem.

Anybody else feel this way?

My husband will tell me ahead of time. "I don not want to talk about Disney tonight" or "just stay in whatever resort you want, I don't care." I also am concerned about the post Disney blues but I just think I am extra excited because I haven't been on a vaca in 4 years! This is also my son's first trip, besideds one day at MK two Christmas's ago.

My name is Metink - I am a Disney addict.

There is no cure for a Disney addict (nor do I want one).

Doctor has prescribed continuous planning of all Disney activities until I am able to physically be on Disney property again.

This includes daily reading of this forum.

I have to admit that on the last day of our vacations I do get alittle weird. My husbands says that all day I have the look like I want to cry. He laughs at me and on the plane back last december he kept teasing me and poking me to make me laugh. I just tell myself that I have to talk him into another vacation so I can plan it - and planning a wdw vacation is half of the fun!

ok, me to, I'm addicted to these boards Disney stores, any thing Disney I'm driving my husband nuts BUt I LOVE IT :earboy2:

Hi from Ontario,Canada. My in-laws got me in to this. I should ask my sister inlaw too. She would love to be in Disney 365 days of the year. I am even trying to design a Disney theme scrapbook/spare bedroom too. While out shopping one day we saw some ones license (DisneyFreak). Now that says it all. My teenagers just can't waite for that Florida sunshine :sunny: .I think its just to come home and show off thier tans. :hourglass

We are not going till the end of Nov. 2005, and I am on the board every night. I love reading and planning. Its my THERAPY!!! There are worse things we can be doing.
I think the little details we learn here, make the trip so much better!!

It is spreading like the plauge because I got it too! The only way to cure it - another trip to WDW :earsgirl: ::MinnieMo  :cheer2: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'm already wondering what I'm going to do when we come home from our trip. And it's starting to bother me; I guess I'll start early planning next years trip,

Oh well, problem solved.

Isn't CDC the Center for Disney Control???

My DW confirms that I am a true Disney addict. I spend (according to her) too much time on the DIS boards, looking at guidebooks and generally being goofy.

How funny! My husband thinks I have gone off the deep end, reading and researching our first WDW trip in June. He thinks we should just have some spontaneity and fly by the seats of our pants on the trip, and cannot fathom why I spend all my waking hours planning this trip. This website is awesome!
