I've just made reservations for: dinner at Tchoup Chop on Thursday, 22 May; breakfast at Boma on our first morning; and dinner at California Grill on Friday, 16 May.

With a bit of luck and a following wind, we'll get to see FITS from CG - I've booked for 8.15pm and they were at 9pm on the same Friday last year.

we have ps for CG the following Friday..also hoping to see FITS:)

LOL Deb we have a PS for CG at 8.00 on the same Friday - drinks before hand then ?

Where the heck's Tchoup Chop ? Although, then again, maybe I don't want to know - V's already waitin to go to Boma's for brekkie and CG for dinner and FiTS.

Come to think of it, please keep yer thoughts and reports to yerself

(The thought of you and Sam at CG together is a bit jolly an'all ;) )

California Grill is a wonderful restaurant with brilliant views - you will all love it :D

I'm with Spottydog what is Tchoup Chop ???

LOL - it's the new Emeril's restaurant in The Royal Pacific Resort at Universal :D :D

Looks fab - check it out here!

Bookings all sound good - wished I could join y'all for drinks at the CG on that Friday too :(

Hi Deb - we had a PS for breakfast at Bomas whilst staying at AKL last year - it was superb. I've never seen so much choice for breakfast, felt like a real pig trying a little of everything:p

The breakfast juice (can't remember the snappy name) was delicious - I think we all refilled at least three times each time our waitress came around.

Well it would be churlish not to, Sam! I nearly went for 8pm, but I usually try to go for 'odd' times if I think I might have trouble getting a PS. In any case, we were planning on being there in plenty of time to imbibe in the bar.

Kaylee - we have been to CG before, but not for the fireworks. The views are amazing, aren't they? You really begin to understand the scale of WDW.

SD - I'm so excited about Tchoup Chop. It was supposed to have been open when we went in October, but they obviously got behind schedule. We went over to take a look, but the windows were all blacked out. Chinese/Thai-esque food isn't my favourite, but I'm sure it'll be something special being Emeril's. And the place itself looks amazing from the pictures I've seen.

Annie - this will be our third Boma breakfast! It says something about the quality given that we're not buffet lovers. The juice is Fru-unch. Deelish!

Sam,

Looks as though we may be out of luck for FITS on 16th! :( Looking at the US Theme Parks forum, looks as though some people have been phoning WDW for hours and, at the moment at least, FITS is scheduled for Saturday only.

I know Deb :( I just saw your post over there.

Well we're still gonna eat there and if they'r enot on then we'll ask for a room in the wine room and watch the Illuminations from there - nowhere near the same league as the FITS from that distance but it's something LOL - I knew this was gonna happen we can't switch to Saturday night as we're staying at the Radisson at Cape Canaveral that night ::sigh::

is that the same for Friday 30th too Deb? :( We booked CG specially to see the fireworks too...:(

By all accounts it is pronounced 'Chop Chop', I am thinking it may have to be visited when we stay at the Hard Rock.

Right guys,

can you recommend a nice WDW or Universal restaurant for me & my hubby for when we're there, may see you all around as we're there from May 16th! The only WDW restaurants we ever see are the ones with character meals!!! This time it's adults only.
Not fussy what type of food is served, as long as there's plenty!!
Lisa

Right just made a PS for California Grille on Saturday May 24th @ 8.30 p.m. All we can hope for now is a window view!!!

By the way what is the food like??!!!

Lisa

To be honest it won't matter if you don't get a window view, I wasn't that struck with the window view and I really enjoyed going out and seeing the fireworks from the viewing areas oh and hearing the bangs and everything - our entrees hadn't arrived and so it was possible to do this - I think our server held our entrees ;)

I'm thinking about moving our PS to Saturday 10th so that my DBF can experience this :)
