I need help with iTunes. Our desktop holds all the songs DD and I have downloaded. Unfortunately the desktop died on us a few days ago. Is there a way that I can use my laptop to download songs to my iPod? Can it be tied to 2 computers?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Same thing happened here one time. We contacted itunes and they allowed us access to all of our PURCHASED music through ITunes. I am no expert but I believe that you can download ITunes onto another (your laptop) and import any purchased itunes music from your ipod to the new computer. You will not be able to recover any music that you did not purchase or that you downloaded from CD's etc. Just be careful don't sync the ipod to the new itunes before you import the music otherwise it will wipe out what is on the ipod by snycing it to an empty itunes folder.

Hmmmm. I am no expert but our desktop crashed this spring but I was able to get the songs off of it using a flash drive and then transferred it over to our new Laptop. I think the flash drive costs about $10. Good luck!

There are programs out there to help recover the files off your IPOD to your new PC. I have personally used Podutil which is available from download.com. It is free and easy to use.
