Its TRUE !! just got off phone with POP Free dining Bounce Back being offered

That is AWESOME!:cool1: Now i just have to hope they continue to offer it for us December travelers!

YEAH! We leave in 19 days. I am going to be sure to bring an extra $200 for my deposit w/ me. I can't wait. I am so happy they are offering a discount for the Deluxe plan as well. I was looking forward to trying it. It will be nice not to stress about waiting for the code to come out in April. Not to mention an extra 6 months to pay for it!

I'll be there and able to book! Now I just have to decide if I can afford it. :rolleyes1

I just went on the WDW website and did some # crunching to see around what differnt prices would be for free dining and the discounted DDP for different resorts. Now I just have to talk to DH about it. It's hard to make the choice between more food options and a deluxe resort. I always am looking for a "good" deal and when POP is $1000 less than AKL w/ the DDP my mind leans towards that but my heart leans toward AKL!
At least I have something else to think about for the next 19 days!!!

I just "crunched" the numbers for me, and it would cost about $1,500 for me, for a ten-night stay at Pop with the discounted DDP, and with MYW hoppers. I figure it will only be about $2,000 with the flight and any special events I add to my intinerary. That is totally affordable for me, so looks like I'll be going to Disney in 2008 after all. :goodvibes (And I was so worried I wouldn't be going to Disney next year.) Now if I can just convince DF to go with me.

Okay, look at it this way - your deposit is 100% refundable until 45 days in advance. Book it, and then work on your DH and DF, respectively :teeth: I swear, I was NOT going back after this year. I mean it. There are other places to travel. But... there are new attractions and parades and restaurants coming; and based on the OP in the linked thread, the DDDP will only be $32 a night. I canNOT pass that up!

I said exactly the same thing as you, except I was saying it because I didn't "need" to go every year, I mean I went in 2005, 2006, and once already this year, plus I'm going again this month, (it's finally September, so I'm now in the month of my trip.) So I was going to take a year off, but since there really is nothing to lose, I can't pass it up either. I'll go solo if DF doesn't go. But for $32 a day, and being able to do all my character meals and signature restaurants, it's too good to pass up.

Y'know, that's the thing. I had already number-crunched the DDDP at full price for Character Breakfasts and Signature Dinners, and it was a decent deal. Now? I feel like I'd be losing money if I didn't take advantage of it!

Anyone know what the dates are for next year? I saw Aug.30th mentioned, but until when?
Thanks!

I believe it's through 9/27.
I was looking at the calendar for next year, and I believe if I go, I'll go the weekend of the 19th and 20th, and stay for ten-nights. That way I'll be the for the very begining of the Food and Wine Festival 2008, and be able to fit in a Party for the Senses.

Oh? Is there anything preventing you from instead arriving on the 27th and taking full advantage of the Food & Wine Festival? And I don't necessarily mean the food, since I know I can't eat THAT much - but in my case the cooking demonstrations, some concerts, another MNSSHP or two, some wine tastings,,,

Too much food. :lmao: I don't see how I'd be able to use up 30 TS credits, and all the cooking demos for the Food and Wine Festival. Plus, I'd have to pay rack rate during regular season if my dates went into Oct. I don't know though, maybe I'll decide to book it through 9/27 through 10/7, but then I would have to deal with Columbas day crowds too. Things to think about for the next few weeks. I know I definatly want to try and at least get to a Party for the Senses and at least one MNSSHP.

DH and I sat down this morning and went over everything. The options w/ the food and the resort options. Then we sat down w/ DD. Seeing she doesn't know we are actually going in 19 days for her birthday she thinks she's helping us pick a resort for her birthday next year. She of course picked the resort we all LOVE AKL. And seeing as this will be our "all out" trip I now know we'll be booking our next trip in a few weeks. YEAH Oh I'd better get a new ticker!

I just LOVE DISNEY.

What sealed it for my DH was the new dining plan. Even though we can't eat all the food we will be able to try the rest. we always wanted to but never have. Even if we stop for a mid afternoon snack at one we'll have the credits to do so!
