This attraction is closed for refurbishment the whole time we are there in May. We fly home late on sat, the 24th (which I believe is your memorial day weekend) I was not going to use one of our 5 days in the park on this day for a few reasons, one being it will probably be busy on saturday and two, being a holiday it will be extra busy and three, do not want to waste one of our days on our travel day home....cus we will be sad! I noticed that this attraction is scheduled to be open on the Saturday though and really want to see it. as lots of friends have told us how good it is. how accurate are the dates on closures? is there a possibility this could be up and running on the Fri the 23rd even if calendar says its down. Does CA have hourly rates that we can just sneak in to see this on the saturday?!?!LOL. Or should I just accept the fact that we won't see it? this is my 6 years old first time there and want them to see it ALL!!!

:welcome: Welcome to the DL Disboard! party:

Twins, sometimes the refurb dates change & sometimes not. Neither of the parks sell a 2 hour (or half day) ticket (except for some conventions).

But all is not lost......a couple of quick questions:

How many days of Park Hoppers did you get?

& what are your dates of arrival & departure (& what hotel will you be staying in)?

Have fun planning!

we fly in early on the 17 (sat), staying at carousel and have a 5 day hopper. according to the calendar its closed the whole time we are there, and reopens sat 24, day we leave

Here's a another thread that posed a similar challenge.

"Hookem's" post indicates adding an extra day to a 5 day cost him $10 bucks per ticket (& his post has a phone number).

I would also ask what the cost would be for a 7 day (or 8 day). Reason? If it's only a few dollars extra, it's nice to blow into the park for a couple hours in the morning....even if you're going to "do" something else (beach?, shopping?, resting?), that day. & you'll be staying a 6-8 min. walk to the front gate. :thumbsup2

Also check into the cost difference between the 6 day (or 7 day or 8 day) park hopper ticket & an annual pass - for one ticket. (if there's a remote chance you might return in the next 365 days.

& if you haven't already done so, i recommend you look at Mary Jo's & HydroGuy's stickys on the fist page. Excellent background info.

Good luck, & if you extend the days, please post back & let us know what happened. I don't know why DLR doesn't just post a 6, 7 & 8 day parkhopper price...silly that they don't.

Twins, where did you get your tickets from? I'm looking at the getawaytoday site & you really need to be aware of their deal.

2 days MM/EE & 7 or 8 days Park Hoppers for $204 (or 6 day for $199) adult.

Can you take advantage of this?
