It's Tony Time!!!

Red carpet was online only. We watched and loved every moment.

I agree about Judith. She has aged beautifully.

You wouldn't say that if you saw her on Dallas - she looked horrible - so much so that I was shocked to see you great she looked tonight!

Judith Light looks great! Don't like her dress but she's aged gracefully.

Yes, I didn't care for her dress either. It was a little over the top for the Tonys, I think.

They guy who had to bend way down to give his acceptance speech. come on! They should have rigged the microphone to where it could go up & down. Those Teamster union stagehands are paid like $50-$100(?) an hour. They couldn't figure out that some people will be tall & others short? :confused3

I still hear Leslie Ann Warren sing those songs from Cinderella (and Dr Alan Quartermain from General Hospital but I can't think of his real name).

Yes, that shows my age.

Me too. ::yes:: And yes, that tells my age, too. ;)

::yes::

I want to see Motown soooooooooooooo bad!!!!!

Wow, that "Michael Jackson" was great. But, I look and also think, "I hope that kid isn't going to be destined to the tragedies of a grown up, former child star." :(

Yup. I thought the same thing.

Watching Cyndi Lauper now. She looks so shocked!

O.M.G!!! I LOVE that Cyndi Lauper won!!! :dance3: :yay:

I scared the cat with my whooping! :rotfl2:

Seems like there are quite a few musicals involving kids in the casts on Broadway right now.

I ABHOR Annie, but to see Jane Lynch, I'd go. :rotfl2:

I was just thinking the same thing. :lmao:

"Hmm, :scratchin maybe I should rethink seeing Annie, after all."

I'm kind of holding out till Les Mis, comes back, though. I used to see Broadway shows all the time. But the prices are outrageous now. :sad2:

Yep, all of you that know me from the Les Mis thread know that I'm holding out for that. It will be my first time back in NYC in two decades and my tech theatre major daughter's first trip. :dance3:

Annie was on in Melbourne last year. I didn't go. But then we don't have Jane Lynch as a drawcard.

We're up to putting on a production of King Kong here.
