Well Gas just hit $3.05 a gal in south Florida. Will this keep a lot of familys for traveling over the next year? Or will you keep your plans to travel to Florida? Tell us your plans. My plans are to stay in Florida and just see local site. .
We live in northwest Florida. Most of our trips are local, so gas is not a huge factor. However, the price won't keep us from making our Disney trip. We try to go at least once or twice a year. We'll just budget for the increase. Maybe we'll eat out less or forgo a few "extras," but - God willing - we'll be there!!! When reading posts from campers from Illinois and New York - I feel downright lucky that we're only spending about $300.00 in fuel.
63 days, 16 hours and 6 minutes til we're back at the Fort and Star Wars Weekend!!!
Thankfully, we moved to where we used to travel to! But, if we still lived up in Minnesota, I don't think we'd be able to afford the trip down to Disney with the prices so high now! The high fuel costs have a trickle effect, that makes the prices of everything else go up too -- food, hotels, etc.
STAY HOME ?NO WAY,gave up daytona 500 to take grand kids to disney, will make sure motor home in top running shape and go easy on the speed. joined 50% off camp club to off set cost when traveling. central mass to fla. and home about $800. small price to pay, just the smiles makes it all worth while.june 30 to july 10 can't wait.
Coming from Iowa with a camper, I'm expecting gas to cost abot 650 - 700 dollars anyway, but it's Disney! We've waited years to go and a little old thing like gasoline isn't going to stop us! hahahaha
