We are so excited and I have the kids bag packed already with lots of goodies. Today I am going to the Cubs vs Red Sox game so I am so excited by that. I still can't believe I am going to the game the day before I leave, oh well the heart of a Cub fan always comes first.
The kids are very excited and my son is better, no fever only a little cold. So I am prepared with cold meds just in case for the rest of us.
Just as a smile, my Uncle was born in Chicago and moved to the St. Louis area as an adult. He always remained a Cub fan. I bought him a hat he wore almost every day to the donut shop, grocery store, just about anywhere he could, until he died. It was a baseball hat that said "I root for two teams. The Cubs and anyone playing the Cardinals!"
Hey everyone coming down in the next few days -just an FYI heads up about the weather down here right now - be prepared for some rain the first couple days due to the bands off of the tropical storm in the gulf right now I know on the other board everyone from other areas in the country thinks that since it's going into the gulf that it won't affect Central FL, wrong! The bands are already getting SW FL now and as it moves up they will follow and move up the FL peninsula. So it will be breezy and rainy for a little while!
I don't want to "rain on your parade", but do want you to know that it might rain on Disney's parades and to be prepared!
A rainy day at Disney is still better than anywhere else!
