It's time for the Suite Life to sail into the sunset

I'll take Suite Life over I'm in the Band and Zeke and Luther any day.

Phineas and Ferb rocks, lol!

My 6 year old son LOVES the show. Thinks the girls are pretty and the boys are "cool". :) He would disagree with the idea that the show needs to be stopped. (He also adores Hannah Montana and Good Luck Charlie).

My DS8 loves this show as well. He'll also watch Hannah Montana, Good Luck Charlie and Wizards of Waverly Place. HM is ok as is WWP. GLC? I don't care for it myself. He really hasn't watched Sonny with a Chance that much.

He has his spurts where he'll watch Nickelodeon, then switch to Disney Channel and will add in a little Cartoon Network. However, CN I have to watch what he puts on. Some shows are not appropriate for him, especially Adult Swim. But he  watching Bakugan and will get mad if he's not up a little before 7 am to watch it every morning with his father (yeah DH is a big kid ).

His Nickelodeon shows are Sponge Bob, iCarly and Big Time Rush. He used to watch Drake & Josh and True Jackson, but I think he's out of those shows.

My issue with "Good Luck Charlie" is what are they going to do whent he baby grows up? Or have they already swapped out the baby for another?

I'm just a Hanna Montana watcher. When I was in the hospital havign my daughter, the Disney channel was the only one that would come in, so I was subjected to HM episodes. This was in 2007.

I got so into it, that I had to buy the DVD with the pilot episode to find out the "history."

Zach and Cody are tolerable. They are helping out the show lately by getting them off the boat. Something they should have done from the begining of the "On Deck" episodes. If they can keep changing the scenery, it will work out longer.

I absolutely despise Sunny With A Chance and Life With Charlie. Two shows I can't stand and always make my children change.

Now Phineas and Ferb,

we love Phineas and Ferb here too!

sonny with a chance is watched here sometimes, but I have to admit I find it amusing.
I loved the Real Princess of New Jersey and Sicky Vicky!:lmao:

We are all tired of "On Deck", but we like Sonny and I can tolerate Wizards sometimes. Hannah is pretty watchable, but they need to give Jackson more airtime.

DD loves to watch Suite Life and I must say London has filled out nicely so I don't mind watching! Such a dirty old man.

I hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate hate this show...one of my kids still watches it on occasion.

I think it actually repels comedy.

What makes it even worse is the incipient laughtrack...which howls with laughter at every word.

It's about as bad as "Full House".

I don't really care for any of those shows, (Except maybe Good Luck, Bridgit Mendler... err Charlie). But Wizards of Waverly really gets me mad. The Selena Gomez character is everything I dont want my daughter to be.

For a Disney sitcom to have such a morally bankrupt lead character is unforgivable.

As far as I am concerned, they can take "all" those tweeny shows and get rid of them. Disney Channel needs to get back to DISNEY. They can also can the snippets of vintage cartoons with the new voice over. How disrespectful to the original artists. Pretty soon we will have a whole generations that thinks Disney is Hannah, Cody, Zach, High School Musical, Camp Rock etc..... Meanwhile better entertainment languishes in the vaults. They are also really missing the boat by not showcasing the parks. Can you image the programming Walt Disney would have done with the five parks now available?

But that is Disney and so is the old stuff. Some of the old stuff is just as moronic as the new shows but it was our moronic stuff.

We miss Even Stevens and Lizzie McGuire. And even That's So Raven (sometimes). It's gone downhill from there.....

hahahahahahahaha

dont know if I say I agree or not hehehehe :rolleyes1

Disney has been doing this for years - if it's not the kids, it's the stupid, inept parents.

My DD7 watches a few of these shows, after we've watched them, and we use them as teachable moments for her not to act. We have had many conversations about how naughty Selena Gomez's character is, and what the purpose of it is? My DD thinks it's to show kids how not to act, and the problems that come from acting that way.

Tiger

Even Stevens...now at the time that kid made me  but now he's not so bad :rotfl:

I think all shows (on disney, nick etc) have to have a character, that breaks the rules because the truth always comes out in the end, hopefully teaching kids along the way.

My hubby & I like HM and tune in even when DS isnt here :rolleyes1

She does have a good heart - she ends up doing the right thing in the end many, many times. Even when it goes against what would be best for her. So she's not completely evil or selfish. Just lazy. ;)

Our family finds these shows laugh-out-loud funny. They are on all the time here. :rotfl:

Thankfully my son is not old enough for the tweeny shows, but the few minutes I've watched have been unbearable. I tried all of them because I actually liked Lizzie McGuire and I was in my 20's when that was on. My friend and I even went to see the movie the week it came out. Even Stevens was OK (I liked Ren), never cared for That's So Raven. What gets me is not only are the new shows REALLY bad, but the production quality is so poor.

The whole Disney Channel needs a serious overhaul, from Playhouse Disney in the morning, to the horrible tweeny shows at night it's all gone WAY downhill in the past 10 years (except for Phineas and Ferb). As a PP mentioned, they are missing a HUGE opportunity to market the parks and pass Disney magic onto the next generation.

I'm upset that Disney Channel canceled or just removed all reruns of My Friends Tigger & Pooh. Instead we get 3 episodes in a row of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, 4 in a row of Phineas & Ferb (followed by more later in the day), etc, etc. Both of those are shows we enjoy, but don't get me started on Special Agent Oso (yuck!). Can't they fit in at least one episode of Tigger & Pooh?

And worse, I couldn't find a feedback link or email on the DisneyChannel.com website. Apparently they don't care what we thing??

As for Suite Life, those guys are now 18 (and Brenda Song is 22!!). You would think they would get sick of acting out the stupid antics of younger teens.

By the way, LOL at the Nursing Home Life of Zach and Cody. :rotfl:

I think I got into the show in my early 20s, since I've always watched the Disney Channel. It was a decent show to watch when nothing else was on.

I used to like it when they were in the hotel. When they moved to the ship, I think what killed it for me was they took out all of the other characters I liked--Maddie, Zack & Cody's parents, Arwin--and replaced them with characters who weren't so much goofy as they were just plain dumb. Its like these new characters were clones of London. She amuses me, but one is more than enough. Maybe it's just the dynamics of the show have changed with the boys growing up, too. What once was cute goofy boy behavior is now just stupid, immature and over done.

Whatever the case, I think the biggest problem with the show is that it's been dumbed down too much. It feels like they dumbed down the show so much that even London has gotten worse, if that's even possible.

I can watch pretty much all of the Disney Channel shows.....

I heard Jackson from HM is 32 years old?? Is that true?? EEK

As for Suite Life, I liked the hotel episodes better than the ones on ship. I can't stand the dad or the mom though. I'm glad they aren't regulars.

Mom sure has changed since the beginning though...anyone else notice??

According to IMBD, he was born in 1977. :scared1:

according to wikipedia (granted not the most accurate site)

Birth date controversy

Earles' birth year has been the subject of conflicting reports. He was 29 years old in January 2007, according to USA Today, which corresponds to a birth year of 1977.[5] However, Earles' résumé stated a birth date of April 26, 1985.[6] Yet, a story in the Houston Chronicle in July 2007 stated that he was 19 years old.[7] The Associated Press's "Today in History" daily feature stated that he was 32 on his birthday of April 26, 2009.[1]

evidently there is a video in which he admits his dob is 1977, sorry about above
