Wednesday

We are up early for our visit to Cape May Café. We’ve done this breakfast before and really enjoyed it so we plumped to do this again this trip. :goodvibes We love the EPCOT resorts as well, and this would be Simon’s choice if we had more money!! My mum had never really done the visiting resort thing and was suitably impressed. We had visits from Minnie ,Goofy and Donald, they all visited twice and spent lots of time with us, Sam got quite brave. The food was scrummy!! We had a couple of visits to the buffet, hot savoury to start with followed by sweet bits after, all delicious. The kids loved the touch of being able to draw all over the table cloths! I think we would happily do his breakfast on all our visits to WDW, it is nice and relaxed.

After breakfast we were hoping for a stroll on the beach and round theBoardwalk, but the heavens had opened again, so we just had a short wander and let the kids spend some of their spending money in the shop. Evie got a necklace, and Sam a tram-his favourite ride! We bought ourselves some corn on the cob holders- last of the big spenders. Mum picked up a monorail to take home for Sam’s birthday later in the summer.

We were all stuffed and we headed back to the villa for a couple of hours of sunbathing and swimming. Mid afternoon we headed to my favourite place on earth- EPCOT- we plan to just grab a couple of rides and have wander round world showcase.

We grab a family picture on the way in:

Then it’s onto Spaceship Earth, we all love this ride. We look at the ride times and everything is sooo busy, Nemo seems the best bet and we walk straight onto this. Sam thinks this is brilliant and this proves to be the first of MANY rides. I think we go straight back on for a second go.

We are all peckish at this point and mum fancies Chinese so round we wander. Oh yes, Prince George has been born:

We all have Orange chicken with rice, it all proves a bit much for Sam…;)

Mum and Evie head off for a wander, we head off with Sam for some window shopping, but actually spend the next hour by the model railway in Germany. He just LOVES it! I spend a pleasant time watching the world go by with an ice cream.

We all meet up for IllumiNations, my favourite firework display, It gets me every time. We head out and let the kids have ten minutes playing on the lights on the way out- if you know the ones I mean. We didn’t get too much done this evening, I think we were all a bit tired today but we had a good time never the less.

I’ll leave you with a pic of Sam’s tram, lol. X

Next up—Matt and Tracey arrive, pool day, Texas Roadhouse and Old Town.

This is getting me more and more excited about taking Freya next year. I know you said Sam was 2, but exactly how old was he, just over 2, nearly 3?

Oh, I'm glad to hear that! He was just a month away from being three. He had such a great time and talks about it all the time.. We didn't do any full days as he wouldn't have coped with it, it depends on your child doesn't it . How old will Freya be when you go and where are you staying? X

I thought he must have been nearly 3. Freya will be just over 2 so not quite as old but I hope she enjoys it as much. We aren't going till November next year so nothing is booked yet but I had been thinking about maybe staying at Bonnet Creek, will have to see what the finances allow.

We took Evie when she was two and a quarter and we had the best trip. x

fab day, Cape May sounds good. Looking forward to dinner there in August :)

Another great day, Evie looks so cute in her dress and ears :)

A lot of people think Epcot doesn't have much for kids, but I think your day shows that there is plenty to keep everyone interested:thumbsup2

Lovely day :) It was nice that you had the characters go round twice at Cape May, and IllumiNations is my favourite fireworks too ::yes::

Love the photo of Sam flaked out! Cape May is a lovely character breakfast and right now you've got me wondering why we have only done it once!
