There was a radio station in NJ today (104.5 for any NJ DISers) playing the SAME EXACT song over and over and over and over and over ALL DAY LONG! Some song by the Beatles (sorry, but they were a bit before my time, so I don't know which song it was...) Anyway, I thought maybe I was just imagining it until my DH came home and commented on the same thing. The golf pro shop where he was today was tuned to that station and they were all going crazy listening to it! So, has anyone experienced anything like this before? It's kind of comical actually...

Well, it's now 2:00am EST--I just checked and Here Comes the Sun is still playing!! Good Grief!! I wonder when it will end. Also wonder WHY they would do this. It's apparently some sort of crazy stunt. Maybe all the DJ's went on vacation for a week or two and this is how they'll fill the air. LOL!!

I work in radio in the UK ..we only tend to do stuff like this when we're re-launching a station.

For imnstance if this station AS a rock station ( or some other format ) and it's flipping over to say soft rock or oldies then you have looped test transmisisons ( but usually with an announcement to let people know what's coming in it's place).

Great song .. but enough already !

Here is London we've had a heatwave recently so this is rather apt ( even though I'm sitting in my office looking out over a rather overcast capital city right now .. still .. here comes the sun .. ha ha ha ha ha ha ).
