It's SNOWING

I left to walk and see a friend who lives locally at 7pm - perfectly clear roads - but when I left her house 3 hours later, I couldn't believe it - thick, thick snow! All the cars were having terrible trouble getting up the slight hill near my house. Goodness knows how I'll get to work tomorrow! :confused3

Looks like a winter wonderland outside right now, with heavy snow predicted for much of the rest of the night.

Would be nice if it was this time next week but tomorrow we're going to Butlins for a long weekend so not good for us.

Woke up to see loads of snow this morning now it feels more like Christmas :)
Hope we can have some this time next week :thumbsup2

We've got about 5 inches of it here.....

We just walked the dogs over the field & I fell down a ditch, I was up to my shoulders in snow.....DH couldn't get me out as he was laughing so much. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

The dogs kept disappearing in it & dh had to get them out, we had so much fun. Just having a cuppa tea to warm up now. :)

Last night I was out to dinner in Stoke Poges, (near Wexham Park Hospital in Slough) and it was an absolute blizzard for a good two hours. It was very windy and the snow was swirling around. It was lovely to watch but a bit scary driving home, but at that time it hadn't froze. Still looks lovely this morning, just wish it was next week as a white Christmas would be fab.

We had a very light sprinkling of snow yesterday tea-time but it didn't settle and was gone completely an hour or so later. Although it was supposed to snow again later on last night, I woke up this morning to nothing (thank the good Lord). I am really hoping it misses us completely.

It was snowing heavy when I went to bed last night and I thought there would be loads this morning but nowhere near as much as we had back in feb.

We had an email to say Anna's school is open - so off we went on foot:goodvibes The children were so excited it was lovely to see. DD's teacher gets married this very day next year and was laughing that she might change her mind!

Stay safe and warm everybody:thumbsup2

We had a blizzard last night, along with thunder & lightning. Woke up to at least 30cms snow. I'm not at work today which is fortunate as all my routes are closed. I would happily report to my nearest station as its just down the road from me.

Here is what I woke up to:

I was wishing it was next week :headache: I just about got to work ok - Northampton to Wellingborough but DH had to get to Peterborough and it took him over 2 hours! And his boss didn't seem to want him to work from home, I just hope it doesn't get any worse as there is more snow predicted. I'm glad we have nothing planned for the weekend.

Stay safe everyone :goodvibes

DH had to drive from Corby to Rushden and he said the roads were bad. He got to work in Rushden only to find it was closed for the day!! I hope your DH gets home safely.

WE got a couple of inches overnight but it's starting to melt now. :sad1:

Oh no, what a pain! I couldn't believe how bad the A43 and A45 were in places - down to 1 lane and crawling. Thanks DH is leaving at 1pm and he wants to pick me up on his way rather than go out again, so hopefully it'll take him a while to get here or they let us go early. Why couldn't it have waited until tomorrow :confused3 :rotfl:
Hope your DH is back and safe, it's snowing again now - just a bit but if it keeps settling and get much colder it's going to be awful!

It hasn't snowed here since early hours of this morning:sad1: I hope we do get more. Work will be interesting they have put there contingency plan into place. i still might see if I can work out of my local ambulance station instead

It's snowing in Grimsby right now and settling. Must been up to an inch deep now and it's been less thatn half an hour.
Let's hope it stops by the morning as I want an early 15-20 mile run in my shorts (always fun when your sweat actually freezes and you have icicles hanging from your hair!)

Will probably go out for a drive around now just to block the roads more and I'll make sure I increase my speed accordingly as that appears to be the convention in this situation.
