They kept predicting snow for us up here in NE Georgia, and I think it's fizzling out. We had some flurries, but that's it.
Darn it. . . .I WANT SNOW!!

No snow here on the coast of NC either. The kids are patiently waiting! They have already called school off tomorrow. The kids had exams this week, so they will probably lose a day they planned on being off. Maybe like hurricane season they will have to go on a Saturday to make it up.

DS, ever the optimist, asked me if they will just give everyone an A because it is not their fault it is going to snow If only it worked that way.

Here's to all of us not used to driving in the snow...I have to work tomorrow so I am going to be out there. I am really a hazard to other drivers because I will be paranoid!

It's 6:40 am, and it's snowing at my house! And yes, I live where it doesn't usually snow, about halfway up the GA/SC border.

I"m watching the weather very carefully to see if I'll be working from home today or trying to avoid playing bumper cars on the interstate.

Kids are out of school today. You can still see the grass though. My DH just came back home. He said the roads were too slick for him. He has a lot of vacation days that he can take. Better to be safe than sorry.

it's snowing! woke up this morning to big flakes and about 3" on my deck. still falling and the birds are eating like crazy. 3 male cardinals at my feeder.

Seriously, it wouldn't be such a big thing down here, but we're not really prepared for snow. Many residents either don't know how to drive in snow, or don't get enough practice and their driving in snow skills are rusty.

It's still snowing here and I'm watching the weather and traffic conditions carefully. I may be working from home today!

I had a dream last night that I woke up to it snowing. I went to get the camera to take a picture and the battery was dead. By the time I changed the battery it had melted and it was raining. I am in S. Florida BTW!

We're in the Bubble here on the coast. Schools closed and they were calling for a couple of inches, but it's not even raining

Poor dd went to bed with her jammies inside out, convinced that would make it snow. She hasn't seen the real thing in YEARS - if the roads weren't so slick once you pass the freezing line, I'd load her in the car and drive west till we hit the white stuff!

We had a couple inches at our house (20 miles SE of Charlotte).
I was hoping to take a snow day with the kids, but the roads weren't bad enough for me to get out of having to go to work.
There's much less on the west side of Charlotte where my office is. Just enough to make the grass and trees white.

It's snowing heavily here in Raleigh! I think we have about 4 inches, maybe a bit more. It's a snowday for all of us! WOHOO!

They canceled school here today even before the snow even started.
There have been some big flakes falling since 8am but nothing is sticking so far.

The girl in me, who spent her HS yrs in RI with not one single snow day in those 4 yrs, 4 yrs in northern VA and spent 3 yrs in Indy (where we moved during a snow storm), thinks this is hilarious.
