Wow! First it started off with these HUGE snowflakes - the size of half-dollars (and SO pretty) - but now it's that blizzard, blinding type snow and it's THUNDERING like crazy..

I thought spring was here??????????????????

C. Ann, could you do me one favor? Keep it up there OK?;) :p

Hopefully it won't last.

We had this between midnight and 1:00 am this morning! Plus lightning.... the cat got me out of bed and I was SHOCKED to see about 1/2 inch of snow on the ground....

I woke up to snow too today. I hope it's the last we'll see till winter comes around again!! :(

Yep. Snowing here too. It's supposed to stick around through tomorrow and improve on Sunday. Let's hope this is the last of it until next year.

Hmmmm.......this all sounds sooo odd to me. Just came in from the terrace......was getting way too WARM for me! Would be a great day to drive over and visit with a sweet mouse we all know and love. Okay, okay, I'll stop rubbing it in and being bad. Promise!!!! :sunny:

I'll bite.. What's "onion snow" ???????????????:)

I don't know what it is either. Inquiring minds want to know::yes::

Yup, we got the thunder snow too. Schools were delay 2 hours.

Don't you hate it when you are laying in bed wishing you didn't have to get up yet, you get up, turn on the TV to find out that school is delayed, but then you are too awake to go back to bed? Why can't there be an invention that you put in your bedroom, and if school is delayed or cancelled, it gently beeps at 5:00 a.m., to let you know? :teeth:

Around this area, we usually see the temperatures rise a bit - just enough to tease us into thinking Spring is coming. The temps tease the plants too, like the daffodils and especially the spring onions that you'd find growing in your yard or fields. They start growing and then....we usually get one last snow of an inch or two that lays on the ground (not just a flurry) and disappears quickly as the temps warm up again.

It's called the onion snow because it's usually the very last snow but it happens after the spring onions have already sprouted and are showing a good bit of green above the ground.

Spring was caressing us with sunshine, yesterday morning. By noon it was snowing hard. The snow continues today.

I hate snow :(

No snow down here. It is 75 degrees right now. But earlier this week it was in the low 60's, high 50's. Good old Florida winters. If you don't like the weather one day. It will probably be different the next day.

Thunder snow? :earseek: How far south does it go? Please tell me there's NO SNOW between Virginia and Florida!
