It's Snowing AGAIN!!

Thankfully it's not snowing here - to be honest I have never seen the appeal of the stuff, it causes chaos, blocks roads and just really hampers getting out and about.

Ian has just had to abandon his van about twelve miles from where we live, he has just rung and has been able to get a train which will bring him as far as our town centre, he will then have about a six mile walk home. I feel bad that I cant go and help him, but there is no way I can get our car out of the street !

DH is not even going to attempt to get home :(

All true, but it's years since I saw proper snow and it does have a magical quality to it. I don't want it hanging around for days, but I am feeling a bit left out. :sad1:

Tracey - that's what I'm talking about! Beautiful. :goodvibes

Hope he has his best cap on to keep his head warm;) Take a picture the second he walks through the door to post would you - sure he'll see the funny side of it, if you say I asked you to and after he has had chance to warm up a little:thumbsup2

Loads here Deb, I will put some in the post for you ;)

**Hugs** to all our Welsh friends. Hope your loved ones make it home safely.

Hilary - not quite the weather you were expecting this weekend!

Jules - Matt wants a photo of Ian when he gets in. Me, I'm not so cruel. Just the blow by blow description will do! :rotfl:

Sue - is Vikki home?

I will do that for you Matt, I am sure he will appreciate it !!

She left about 10 mins ago with her granddad who works in Cardiff to go to my mother in laws for the weekend to look after her as she has just come out of hospital. I did tell her I thought it wasnt a wise move,as did my mother in law, but she insisted and didnt want her grampy driving up to Caerphilly on his own, so Im just hoping that they get there safe and sound.

LOL! No, Deb - not quite! DD has just arrived home after walking the 3 miles from our neighbour's abandoned car after their abortive drive home. Other DD still stuck in college (they're keeping them fed and watered, and I'm sure the students are enjoying it, although I don't envy the staff ;)) and DH is staying in the office until things improve and the roads become passable again. I wonder how long it'll be until their drinks machine and chocolate machine run out ...

Hope everyone else stays safe :)

It's not fair - we got a sprinkle yesterday and we've got rain today. I thought it was supposed to be colder in the north! :sad2:

Sue let us know when Vicki gets there safely, and Hilary I hope DH is able to get home soon. I am just waiting for my snowman he shouldn't be long now, I am sure he will be in a very happy mood ! The bud is probably a good idea Matt !

Here we go Matt, not a great effort, as the reflective things on his coat, made it go a bit strange, he says to tell you he had a bit of a glow

Just got home and snow got heavier the further west I got from Leicester!

Snowing quite heavy here now and settling well.

We really needed to go to ASDA tonight for the weekly shop - will see how it is later once the rush hour is over. Hopefully Nuneaton won't be so bad.
