DS and I both prefer Universal now but we also make it a point to visit the Mouse when we go.

I urge you to just enjoy all types of parks for what they are! I would try Cedar Point if it wasn't so far and I'm not even a coaster fanatic.

I'm jealous of those of you who have teens that prefer Disney. Mine say Cedar Point makes Disney seem boring. In their words "Cedar Point is WAY better." I probably would have agreed when I was their age, though. Now that I'm older I am not so into the thrill rides and much prefer the vibe of Disney World.

I think we will try the Disney/Universal combo next time. We've never been to Universal before.

My girls don't like the Six Flags/Cedar Park type amusement parks, they want Disney!!! They are 18 and 20 and have been going to Disney the past 10 years and never want to stop!!

Yes, the thrill rides at CP are among the best out there, but the park in general is not that great. Employees that seem less than thrilled about working there or are flat out rude. Not as clean, poorer food, longer lines, etc.

I'm almost 23 and have been going to CP most of my life, but still prefer Disney parks...honestly, I think even more so now that i'm old enough to fully understand the whole "value for your dollar" concept.

Cedar Point costs a lot less, and has more thrill rides. I don't think you can say there is no value for your dollar if you choose it over Disney . It is not a dirty park by any means, and I don't really mind if the college students aren't as friendly as CMs, I've never had an issue with anyone who works there being rude.

How often do you go? for a while we were going about every 15 months and my entire family got bored on Disney. Some time absence makes the heart grow fonder.

We've only been to Disney twice, 5 years apart, with the most recent trip being this past December. I fell completely in love with the place the second I arrived there on our first trip. Cedar Point is a 2 and 1/2 hour drive from here and as a kid we went every single year. I've put it off with my kids because they were young. I'm sure that will be an annual tip for us now that the kids are older and love it so much. The good news is that because it's so close it can be a day trip, and not eat up our entire vacation time and budget.

I like Cedar Point but it is so not Disney.

Cedar point is also really beuatifully located on a *****ula in the middle of the Great Lake. Really quite pretty. Sandusky in general is not what you would call pretty, reminds me od a sumer rental type area.

They have water bikes rentals. We stayed at Castaway Bay, which was nice. And allows you to go over to the beach at Breakers.
We have alwys gone in late august when the schools are back, so nothing seems as hoping. There is mini golf but not tons of stuff.

We live about an hour and a half from Cedar Point and my kids hate it. But, the LOVE Disney. My kids are 25, 17 and 14.

My family loves both Disney & Cedar Point. I recommend CP to everyone who comes to the area. I live about 45 minutes away. It's great for thrill seekers, but I also think their shows are top notch. We always stay a couple nights at Hotel Breakers.
