It's only 1600 miles! - First Road Trip to WDW - June 2016 PTR (COMPLETED)

Anyone eat Be Our Guest for breakfast? How was it? I see possibly one advantage...

Just a warning... have you checked the breakfast prices at BOG?
They're ridiculous even for Disney.

I did - reason I keep asking myself, "What's so special about this place" based on the prices. Am I missing something? Must be the NEW factor still. Menu isn't really even good for the prices.

Early park entry. That seems to be enough to get people to pay the bucks.
It's a good value if you're on the DDP and you use it at lunch for a QS meal.

Looks like you can pack a week's worth of supplies in that sucker.

5yo grew a little, now 47 1/8" tall with shoes. I don't think she will make it to 48" for the trip. I guess we will just have to go again next year :)

Yeah, but it doesn't bother her that she can't go on RnRC...she said, "The first roller coaster I'm going on is Space Mountain."

My 14yo DD was asking me what "non-ride" things to do in the park, "like the Kim Possible mission we did before." What's your favorite non-ride thing to do in Magic Kingdom?

Eat. Drink.
I actually enjoyed the Pirate's Adventure in MK. You get a treasure map and follow the clues to see different effects.
Similar is the Agent P adventure in Epcot (which is a revamped Kim Possible game)
Other thoughts that spring to mind in the "non ride" category.
Parades, shows, fireworks.
I'm not big on them myself, but a lot of people enjoy meeting the characters.
Tons more, but that should get you started.

Thanks! Looking at the Pirate's Adventure and Sorcerers.

Nothing new to report.....well, DW is stockpiling snacks for the trip. We are just counting down the days.

If she's stockpiling perishables... it's too soon! Stand down! Stand down!

Perishable items last only a few days in our house.

Congratulations! I'm happy if they make it through one day!

Could be worse. I could have boys. Then it'd be one day... but way more of it.

My 4yo just asked me if she can go on StarTours - she and her 5yo sister were watching ride videos on YouTube. Good news is yes, she can go on it. She was very happy.
