It's official!!!!

We are officially booked...plane tickets booked (on miles), hotel booked (on points)!! So far, this entire trip has cost us $30. We'll be at the parks January 27-31...we planned for that Friday to have fireworks on our last night there. We have a 4-year old son (he'll be 2 months shy of turning 5 when we're there). It'll be his first experience at any Disney park and we chose DLR and CA mostly for Carsland. Now just to keep it a secret from him until we board the plane. Wish me luck!

Congrats!! I hope you can keep the secret, for us that is part of the fun. In 2013 we went for the 2nd time with our kids in the middle of January and for the length of time we stay decided to buy AP's. Before we even got on the plane to go home I knew we would be going back and surprised my kids at Xmas...yep kept the secret 11 months The look on their faces was worth it!

My busy season ends about mid-January, so Christmas vacation is going to be tough to come by since we're still pretty busy then. And then we get into the problem of school next year when he starts kindergarten. My husband doesn't want to pull him out of school to go on vacation...I'm not against it as long as he stays caught up.

The secret keeping has been going on since April when we first started planning this trip. After a LOT of research, we decided on January. I realize some stuff might be in refurbs, but the shorter hours will actually help us...our 4-year old doesn't need to go 7 am - 12 am anyway! I think 4 days will give us plenty of time to do everything we want to do. We start the weekend in San Diego visiting family and now I need to plan those days before we head up to Anaheim.
