It's official - West Coast DVC!!

according to my guide, who has been based in Califorina for the past 2 years...

The GCV is just a dip of the toe in the water out there...

With that said I am near the top of my guides list to call when she gets more details.

I can't wait! The tipping point on deciding to buy SSR last Feb was getting priority for a GCH DVC. I've been telling my guide to call me ASAP since day one... :cool1:

Sorry, but I have been out of the loop for the last few weeks. Does anyone know when these points are going to hit the market? We will be in DL in January and would love to also get the free AP's for purchasing while there. I don't know if it would be better to call my guide now and get on a list or wait until we are there.

Am I missing something? I am really not much interested in CA DVC. From what I understand, and I have never been there, the parks are WAY smaller then WDW parks, and the area not nearly as nice. Give me Hawaii or more in HHI, and I may be on board!

Well, if you've never been there, you don't know what you're missing! :goodvibes The parks are smaller land wise, but there are plenty of rides in them, unlike AK with it's 6 rides and MGM with it's 5 rides. :sad2: Disneyland has more rides than even the MK does. Disney is about to spend 1 billion dollars to improve DCA, so by the time GCV are finished, the park will begin to look a lot different than it does now. Disneyland is the original Disney park, and if you've never been, a west coast DVC is a great way to experience it. The Grand Californian is a beautiful resort, and much nicer than some of WDW's resorts. I love my visits to WDW, but if I had to choose just one park, I'd much rather spend a day at Disneyland than a day at WDW.

We've been waiting a long time for this. Having larger rooms than a standard hotel will be great since we always have 6 or more on our trips.

Does anyone have any info when we might be able to book? I know its projected opening is late 2009, but how soon before then might we be able to book?

Iam curious if they will be doing the same here as they did in AKL? However being a smaller DVC maybe not... WE will just have to wait for that Disney Magic! ;)

Well said:thumbsup2 . I just returned from a trip to WDW and although nice, it really makes me appreciate our beloved Disneyland more. It will be nice to use DVC points for DVC instead of using them for a regular room (although, since I can't afford to add on right now probably won't get in at 7 months:guilty:).
