It's official, We are planning JULY Trip!

Tracy, Ziggy is a cutie! Great name. We are getting close. Woo hoo. Road trip begins tomorrow.

:sunny:pirate:ROAD TRIP BEGINS TOMMOROW

I am so excited. We have been doing all kinds of little preparations for our road trip. I took the car in for a road check. It was a good thing because they found a nail in the front left tire. Yikes! And yes, I am blaming IKE. There are roof nails everywhere in Houston. This is our second roof nail within three months. I won't gripe because they found it and the "precious cargo" aka Lakyn will be safe.
Last night we laid out some touring plans and our looking forward to implementing them. Plans are good.
I am going to make a list of what we are doing in the World next week.
But first, I need to go get a cup of java juice...
While you are waiting here is one of my jokes I made up in March while waiting in line at the World.. I think I was in line for Peter Pan.
:rotfl2:
What kind of beds do the kids in world showcase sleep on?

Need to correct the itinerary zendisney posted -- Sunday we're having the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare. I know I said I wouldn't go back to 1900, but surely breakfast can't be all bad. Can it??

I forgot... I knew we were going somewhere... I guess I wanted to see Pooh.
I hope I see him in the parks. Pooh Bear is so wonderful!

I am here at I-10 Exit 34 A:goodvibes
We had a nice ride.
Got stuck in Traffic.
I listened to a Kindle Chronicle Podcast.
Played with I am here App on I phone...
I was behind "tow mater" for about 2 hours. I swear this tow truck was him.
It was rusty and worn and it had a broken turning signal that remained on Right turn for the whole time I was behind it.
We ate at a restaurant called Long Horn last night.
I had the 7 oz filet mignon, strawberry pecan salad, and a sweet potato.
The server made me fresh coffee. I was in heaven!
On my way to Lake City. Gilchrist is making me a reservation.
Yahoo I love road trips.
I am going to sneak out and pack the car while princess is still snoozing.
I finished Mike Huckabee's book last night it was fabulous! Very insightful!princess:

Yay you are on your way!! Funny about tow-mater....isn't it interesting how everything we encounter in our lives we can correlate it to Disney? :rotfl:
Oooh you have a Kindle! I am thinking that I really need one of those!
Dinner sounded really good....strawberry pecan salad---yum! Anything with pecans is sure to be good!
Safe travels and enjoy your road trip! :goodvibes

The salad the other night was DE-Lish!
This has been a fun trip.
I am going to give a shout out to single parents... having Lakyn alone in the car has been a little bit challenging. LOL

We got her last night.
I need to re pack the car so Gilchrist can get in at the airport. LOL
She can't ride on the luggage rack.
The Hampton Inn her is a nice one. It seems new and the rooms are interior.
The pool was clean. Had a great nights sleep.
Orlando, here we come!!!!
Carla grabs a jar of Pixie dust... sprinkle... sprinkle.

Thanks Hallie...

LIVE FROM STARBUCKS LOCATED AT 1411 SAND LAKE RD SKY LAKE, FL 32809
I am here. I will be picking up Gilchrist at the airport. Her plane has been delayed about 2 hours. So I am chillin' here in Starbucks, reading my kindle and playing on the computer. Yep, my favorite things to do when I am at home.
Now, the ride this morning cracked me up.

I saw a sign that said Dog Gauntlet? I was like huh? Then I realized it said "Don Ganet" or something to that affect. LOL
Also we had a little drama... Lakyn got a hold of my keys at our pit stop and left them in the bathroom. Can you say PANIC MODE!

The things that happen to us when we have been in a car for three days with a three year old LOL.
My cappuccino here is so yummy. They make em' the way I like them. : )

I am so excited to be sooo close to Disney World... more to come.
Weather report
A little cloudy but very nice.
Warm like Houston, Texas.
It is all good.

We had a wonderful time at AK. More details to come.
Last night we met up ith my sister and BIL at MK.
We had a nice visit.

Carla Rae and I are having a hard time realizing that today was our last day in the parks for this trip. There is definitely a let down, but the trip has been mostly good.

First, we did some things with the DGD that we haven't done in years -- The Country Bears Jamboree for one -- because we knew she'd like it. And, we weren't disappointed. She loved everything -- meeting the characters, watching the shows (even the Hall of Presidents -- she was quiet and attentive the whole show!!) and parades, and going on the attractions. We went swimming twice and she loved the pool. :dance3:

We enjoyed the Studios -- can't tell you the last time we enjoyed walking around just looking at all of the interesting details. DGD liked Playhouse Disney and the Little Mermaid. We didn't get on Toy Story Mania this trip (did get to ride during our last trip in March when it was still in preview mode).

AK was really good. We enjoyed the Safari, another attraction we hadn't done in a long time, and Nemo. We also saw the lion king for the first time. We all enjoyed that show! :)

We had some good character meals -- Ohana's and Chef Mickey's for breakfast-- really fun. Good fish and chips in England. Good coffee at the Poly!

We also had some dreadful meals -- Liberty Tree was the worst! Horrible service, horrible food.

Carla Rae and I didn't get to ride SPlash Mountain or Big Thunder Mountain RR, and of course Space Mountain is closed for refurb and my favorite ride the TTA is closed because of Space Mountain.

I think we were most surprised by the number of large -- very large-- tour groups from Brazil, Argentina, and Italy. Usually 75-100 in each group, singing, shouting, taking up whole walkways. One kid knocked our DGD down and ran off without even seeing that she was OK. The rudeness never ceases to amaze us!

We will never come to the parks in July again. Too crowded with groups.

I'm sure Carla Rae (Zendisney) will post some comments of her own when she catches a minute. We have really had a good week.

We are back. It was a nice road trip home. There is sooo much to add to our trip report. This was a great trip and we had so much fun. I am glad that we went to Vero for a few days. The beach has so many wonderful qualities.
