IT'S OFFICIAL!!!****OCTOBER 2014****...ROLL CALL!! Join the party!

Managed to get all my FP booked today, even though the screen would go blank after each day. I had to keep closing my browser and logging in again...however, they were all confirmed so I'm happy.

I am unable to check in online, however. I go through all the steps and then the screen does not proceed to the confirmation screen. If I login again, it still says I can check in,but it doesn't confirm it.

I haven't been able to get through online check-in, either. I keep getting a message that there are errors on the page, but no clue as to what/where they might be.

I guess it's time I join in. We'll be there Oct. 14 through the 21st! It's been almost 4 years since our last visit and now there are so many new things. New Fantasyland, FP+, magic bands...I spent days trying to catch up on it all and I'm still not sure I've figured it all out.

This vacation can't come soon enough!

Ask any questions you haven't figured out yet. I'm sure one of us can help you with the answers! :) :thumbsup2

What are people booking for their PF+ ressies? I am so curious and have read tons of stuff, but not getting a huge consensus on what to book and when.

Rapidly approaching our 60-day FP reservations.

We are doing a special Preservation of Parental Sanity trip, and throwing some extra money at convenience. Everything is designed to minimize boring waits for our almost-3-year-old. We want to prevent meltdowns. :scared:

I have always wanted to stay at the Contemporary since I was a young lad, so we decided to make dad's childhood dream come true and put ourselves within walking distance of MK at the same time.

This will be a short trip, because DS won't be big enough for a lot of the bigger rides. He loves Mickey and Friends, as well as Pixar characters, so we will primarily be spending time at MK.

We have a list of stuff that I have run through touringplans.com, but this trip is for DS, so we will take things at his pace. If he wants to stop and look at something, we will. This trip is for him. No stress! :cool2:

Sunday, Oct. 26:
Fly from Atlanta to Orlando (No 7.5 hour car ride)
Towncar to CR (No waiting for Magical Express)
Check into Contemporary Resort Atrium Club Theme Park View Room :woohoo:
Go for a ride on the Monorail
Swim
5:30 Dinner with Chef Mickey
Wishes on the balcony

Monday, Oct. 27:
MK day
Breakfast in the Atrium Club Lounge
Monorail (or walk) to MK for rope drop
Midday break back at CR, some swimming and a nap
Afternoon back at MK
Dinner at 5:30 at the California Grill
Wishes on the balcony

Tuesday, Oct. 28:
Typhoon Lagoon day!
We will get off our feet for a day of relaxing and swimming.
We are planning to meet up with some dear friends from Canada who we haven't seen for several years.
I have a date with an inner tube on Castaway Creek. :cloud9:
Back to CR for a relaxed evening and casual dinner
Wishes on the balcony

Wednesday, Oct. 27
MK day with possible DHS park hop
My son loves both Mickey Mouse Clubhouse and Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Depending on how eager he is to see them and how much we saw at MK on Monday, we might decide to spend the day at DHS, or at least park hop there for a half day. I know DS would enjoy seeing the Disney Junior stage show, as well as meeting Jake and the various Pixar characters around DHS.
Dinner at Narcoosee's
Wishes on the balcony

Thursday, Oct. 28
Breakfast in the Club Lounge
Morning Swim
Towncar to the airport
Fly back home to Atlanta

Getting really excited and reading all the Disney news I can find! :cool1:

What are people booking for their PF+ ressies? I am so curious and have read tons of stuff, but not getting a huge consensus on what to book and when.

These are the FastPass+ ressies I made early Tuesday morning. I not planning on using all of them. My strategy was to book popular attractions such as Soarin, Test Track, Mine Train, etc. I'm hoping that by getting at the parks at rope drop, I'll be able to see most attractions with little wait. One of the many things I do not like about this new system is that you can't chose more than one fast pass per day for the same attraction. I'd love to have two passes for either Haunted Mansion and/or Pirates.

Epcot
Spaceship Earth
The Seas with Nemo & Friends
Soarin'
Test Track

Magic Kingdom
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Haunted Mansion
Pirates of the Caribbean
Main Street Electrical Parade

Disney's Hollywood Studios Park
Toy Story Midway Mania
Star Tours
Voyage of The Little Mermaid

If I have a FP+ scheduled for an attraction, and when I show up during my return window there is little to no standby wait, do I have the option of riding SB and changing my FP for something else later in the day? Or would I have had to make the change before my return window opened up? I have a few attractions scheduled that probably don't need a FP, but we wanted to do them at a specific time, so wasn't sure if I could change them if the SB wait ended up being short?

Sorry, posted this on the wrong thread! All this FP talk and I forgot where I was! Lol! But if anyone knows the answer..... :)

As long as your window has not closed you can change it! I have gone to use a fast pass and have a cast member tell me to use stand by line and change fast pass. :) hope this helps

This is what I picked:

Epcot:
Soarin'
Spaceship Earth
Mickey & Friends
(TT had a single rider line, and I wasn't worried about getting on the other rides without a FP, so I figured why not say hi to Mickey!)

MK:
SDMT
Splash Mountain
Winnie The Pooh
(Missed Pooh last visit, so it won over PPF)

HS:
Tower of Terror
TSMM
Star Tours
(will do single rider line at RR)

AK:
Kilimanjaro Safari
Everest
Dinosaur

Then for my last day, I got a few for Magic Kingdom, though I'm not sure that's where I'll end up! All depends on what I get done on other days.

MK:
Space Mountain
Thunder Mountain
Jungle Cruise

Here's what I ended up with Sunday night and Monday Morning:
The A&E FP+ for 7:10PM on the 25th are being released to a DISer on Monday and I'm not sure what I will substitute yet. Days with Epcot evening FP+ are those where we will be doing RD at a different park, usually with EMH mornings. And yes, I really do like Mission Space that much;)

Been Following this thread and figured I should join in with the bunch. Went earlier this year in May and took my dad along for some very good times and as a thank you for all the past trips he took me on as well. Now I'm taking the girlfriend this October 27th thru November 4th to enjoy MNSSHP and F&W Festival and looking forward to creating even more magical and fond memories. I just can't wait. One week from tonight I get to stay up and start making FP's. Heck we are already starting to plan next years trip. I know...we are sick.

I'm so excited, our trip is officially paid in full and FP+ reservations are done!!!! Can't way for 12 days of Disney with my DS. We leave the day after his 23rd birthday - going back to Epcot Food and Wine (we went two years ago for his 21st), MNSSHP, a day of Harry Potter and some much needed R&R!

DFi and I chose the most popular attractions and decided to get them at times that might be busy. We avoided fastpasses during rope drop and prime time lunch and dinner time because we figured it would be easy to hop on rides during those times. We eat lunch and dinner at odd times (We both work jobs with odd schedules) so we're taking advantage of that. :goodvibes
