IT'S OFFICIAL!!!****OCTOBER 2014****...ROLL CALL!! Join the party!

Just booked my FPs this morning.

I noticed that the parades were booked up for Monday the 27th, but I was able to get a FP for Festival of Fantasy for Wednesday the 29th.

Exactly 60 days out for us! :woohoo: :hyper:

Yay! That's what I was saying yesterday to my hubby...who doesn't get it:) i hope you get everything just how you want.

My DH doesn't get it either. We agreed last night to NOT discuss plans because looking at my 1.5 page itinerary/notes 'stresses him out'.

Thank you! I hope that I do too.

I actually had DD6 tell me she was sick of talking about Disney. You know it's bad when the kids are annoyed! Lol!!!

:lmao: Wow, and I thought I talked about DW too much! :rotfl2:

I now actually consciously do not talk about DW plans unless I feel input is necessary. Better that they don't know how much time I actually spend on my spreadsheet! :crazy2:

I got my FP+ this morning...I got everything I was hoping for. The only thing is that I am not sure how much I like the tiering system in EPCOT and HS. I would have liked to have both TSM and RnRC in the same tier.

I have had so much trouble with MDE today. I checked in online twice. Both times I got a SORRY error message saying to try again. But I opted for a text message when my room is ready and it did send me a text message asking me to reply YES to confirm. So do you think I really am checked in? Is there a way to know for sure? Then I made and modified my FP choices. Everything was fine on the computer. Now I am trying to modify FPs via the mobile app. First it said I had no linked reservation even though it had been showing in the app since the day I booked. I put in my reservation and it said It couldn't find it, possibly due to having booked Swan or Dolphin or thru a travel agent, none of which apply. But despite that message, now my resort reservation and dining plans show up. But I can't see or modify my FPs. It says the days with Xs are eligible for FP and nothing has an X. Ugh!!!

I've been having issues with MDX all day too. I would say, though, that if you got the text message, you are officially checked in. It may still give you the option to do online check in when you log into your account, but if you click through the process, all of your options will be entered and saved.

Thanks. Worst case scenario is I will still have to check in when I arrive, lol. The text message won't necessarily mean our room is ready anyway. Last year there was a huge mix up. We arrived around 11:30 am. They said our room was already ready but when got to the room our MBs didn't work and we could see in the widow the room hadn't been made up. We went back to the front desk and they apologized and put a rush on it since it was their mistake. We kept checking back and each time they said the room still wasn't ready. Three hours later I just went back to the room anyway as by then it was almost 3:00 (the guaranteed checkin time) and not only did my MB work and the room had been cleaned, ME had already put our bags in the room. So somehow they had their computer updated backwards. When the room was dirty it was marked clean and vice versa.

I did eventually make SOME progress modifying FPs with the mobile app last night. It was spotty and slow though. I did get the mine train for 1:40-2:40 the day before we leave. The first full day of our trip the earliest time available was 4:55.

Do you get the text on the day you check in? I've online checked in too...but no text and every time I log into MDE it gives me the option to check in. I gave my requests and did the online check in on day 60.

If you select the "receive text" option, you should get a sample message to confirm your number. If you didn't, I would try going through the online check in process again. I did mine already, got my text, and I still gives me the option to check in every time I log in, too. But when I checked, all of my previous selections were saved in the system. I'm guessing this option will remain to allow you to make changes if needed.

I sat up until midnight and got everything that I wanted! YAY! :hyper:

I will say, though, that we were not interested in A&E. When I was booking my two MK days, A&E were gone already.

Yes, they are supposed to text you the day you arrive, when your room is ready. Although they were supposed to do this last year and we never did get our text. This is after we had the confusion with being told our room was ready even though we arrived early and it actually wasn't ready. We kept going to the lobby and asking and they kept saying it wasn't ready. At 2:40 I went to the room and it was in fact ready and our bags had already been delivered. :confused3

As Cluelyss said, I received the test text message when I attempted the online check in but it still offers me the option to check in online. Since everyone seems to be experiencing this, hopefully this is just how it works and we are all checked in.

I must say, I do not like the tiered FP+ at Epcot. I have three Epcot days and I feel bad I have to schedule three FP+ when some days I may only want one. I feel like I am taking away FP+ time slots from someone who may need it. But I have to schedule all three right? And I can't leave and go to another park and get FPs later in the day unless I have already had three FP+ earlier in the day at another park right? Some of the things I am more inclined to do at Epcot do not require and/or offer FP+. Like Ellen's Energy Adventure and Maelstrom. We tried the FP+ for Illuminations last year. I can take it or leave it. There were some bushes that I felt were blocking my view. If they had been trimmed down significantly it may have been a better vantage point.

What does everyone think of FP for Main Street Electrical Parade at MK? I thought it was pretty good but I have not booked it for this year so far. I would rather use my FP+ earlier in the day so I can get additional FPs once those expire.

You can cancel unused FP+ selections, which would enable you to free the up for others and get addition selections faster when park hopping (I believe...) However, once you cancel one of your FP+ for the day, if you decide you want to add it back, so either have up start your day over or call to have a CM manually add it back.

Hmmm. Not sure. :confused3 I don't know if we are allowed to copy and paste from Disney's website but if you google Disney fast pass the second link listed is "fastpass+ planning". Under the heading, "now available to all theme park guests", it seems to suggest our first three FP+ must be within one park (whether you use them or you let them expire), afterwhich additional FP+ can be made at other parks at the kiosks within each of those parks. I could be mistaken but that is how I interpret it. If I am right, which I hope I am not, if I don't use three FP+ at Epcot, I would not be able to hop over to MK and get a FP+ there. Although you could be right too. Guess I will have to read some of the FP threads and see what current guests are experiencing.

You are correct, you cannot split between parks. What I was suggesting was to cancel the 1 or 2 FP you are not using at park #1, then once the ones you have expire or are used, you can start making add'l selections at the kiosks at park #2.

Ohhh. I understand! Good idea! Thanks! I guess I was thinking if you cancel them they count as unused.

I am getting nervous about my FP+ ressies. I feel like I its a huge decision, and something so new to us (last trip in May 2013 they didn't have it ready to go yet). Only a few days before I have to lock in our plans.

What to pick, what to pick?!?
