I'm hoping for a room discount! I have an AP for the first time so I'm really hoping for a good APH room only discount.... But if not, I'm still going! I would maybe just switch from a 1 bedroom villa to a standard studio!

Are any of you waiting for free dining or another October discount?

Will it be the deciding factor if you go or not?


We are going regardless of discounts, but of course it would be nice.

I was hoping for a room only discount but would have taken free dining, but looking historically it wouldn't have been offered for when we wanted. It was a little stressing. Then finally looked into renting DVC points and we went from Riverside to Animal Kingdom Villas(Probably not less then discounted or FD, but better then then full pricing! And you know its Animal Kingdom Lodge!!). And now its all locked in, no worries about discount watching or having to change dates.

It would not have made me cancel my trip though if we didn't get it. Way too excited and the advantage of planning so far out is that we have the time to save up!

I have my first rough draft of plans which would be subject to change based on MSHP.
Leave late friday, maybe 9 pm(still deciding since my hubby travels and could be driving back from a long distance.)
Arrive In Orlando just before dinner Saturday. Check in one night someplace TBD.
10/5 Sunday- Islands of Adventure (for shame lol.) Check in to resort in afternoon (near IOA) and return in evening.
Monday- DHS
Tuesday- MK
Wednesday- Either Epcot or Universal (US recommended by UT)
Thursday- Epcot/F&W
Friday- MK
Saturday EP or US
Sunday Check out and drive home

My plan is to do 2 days at EP/F&W and one Universal just need to decide which. I am going by park rec based on Undercover tourists right now although I may get TP afterall, its been a few years since I did and was fine with out but its fun to look at.

My husband and I will be celebrating our 16yr anniversary Oct. 31- I always tell him he married a witch!!

Yes!! We did a BB for FD Sept29-Oct 12. We will be participating in the TOT 10 miler (DS) and the rest of us in the 5K.

I am thinking of fun reveals for the kids that we are going. Last May we surprised them with a Disney Cruise and revealed it when we got to port with clues along the way. I am not going that creative but trying to think of other fun way. Is anyone surprising family? I need to make a montage of the videos and photos of kids reveal since it was over the course of 24 hours with surprises along the way.

I am planning to surprise my kids in October - depending on which flight time we book will determine my actual surprise plans / but heading down on a school day when it's time to get ready to catch the bus I plan to hand them their 'backpacks' which will actually be the new carryall bags I have already bought them all packed and ready to go.....

We picked kids up after lunch to go on DCL. Principal even went to get them from playground and didn't lead into why he was calling them in. Ods was getting worried for a minute. We told them we were going somewhere, they found out it was by plane at the airport. We went to florida but didnt tell them until the next day! I am amazed they slept that night at hotel.

Oh that I understand. My ods stood in school parking lot telling us he could not miss a week. He started journaling at 6:30 am before we headed to port so he could start for his teacher.

We told them today, I made a power point slide show of our past trips with last slide sharing that we are going back. We looked at photos and the disney cruise surprise video after. Much fun!
I think I have too muck already planned out. What will I do for the next several months? Come on with the park hours and 180 days
