Hi! I'm Cheryl and I'm an addict. I've never been to WDW to stay. I'm not going for lets see (oops no counter preview when you are posting) nearly a year. I haven't even begun to finish paying for the trip I haven't been on yet. And I'm thinking "you know a before Christmas 2006, girls only, trip with my DDs and My Mom would be great!!! So here I am making a budget for two years in the future! I ask you: Is this Normal Behavior???? They have twelve step programs for substance abuse...what do they have for this????

Hi Everyone!
We're Enid & Kathy, "The Montana Minnies" and we are with you. Although my sister ( Kathy) is shy about writing on the Dis, she reads the suggestions given vigorously. After our 2003 visit she talked me into signing up as we prepared for our 2004 visit. Now we too, are working on going again in 2006!
So thanks Cheryl for the thread. It is so good to know that there are others who "plan" their WDW vacations far in advance. ::yes::
WE LOVE WDW  So much my sister is thinking about buying into DVC one day. I'm the only one in the family who understands and I know you do too :grouphug:
::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo

Well I understand all of you, it seems that alot of people don't get our obsession with Disney...even my kids are starting to find it a little bit .... too much. Thank heavens for my sister who is as crazy as I am and for you guys , or else I'd feel like something was REALLY wrong with me.

My MIL thinks once you've visited a place once you should move on to visit another place....imagine the look on her face when we told her we are going back in July 2005!!!! Oh well they jt don't get it and never will, but in the meanwhile I get to float on my Disney cloud and look forward to scorching hot sun, incredible crowds and the joy of being with my family for a big 10 days!!!!!

All that and no cooking, and cleaning....a woman's paradise!!!

Hello fellow addicts!

I am all in favor of a 12-step program for our group. ONLY if it is held at the Adventurer's Club!!! LOL!!!

I don't "well up" or "get misty" when we enter the MK---I'm the one OPENLY CRYING while a small crowd around her shakes their heads and pretends we're not related!

I love all things Disney, and I adore the DIS. What a community of kind and helpful people. I also understand how people get depressed after a trip. Well, I only get depressed if I don't have another one in the works. By the end of our 2-week trip in December, I already had this December churning in my head, so it made leaving Utopia a little bit easier. That and 450 pictures!!!

Hi everybody, My name is Lisa and yes, I too am addicted to Disney. We got Disney Scene it a week and a half ago...we already need a booster pack of cards. We've done them all! I win most of the time!

I even have a "Goth" daughter (dresses all in black) who loves Disney Princesses! princess: I have been known to sit at my computer on my lunch break at work and wipe away tears from reading other people's postings here. (What a sap!)

We just went to the world over Thanksgiving and our next trip is not until June 2006 but I have already begun planning. We love WDW so much that hubby and I will go in 2008 without our kids to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary!

I'm such a kid! Welcome to the most magical addiction I ever want to have!

As a newly-hooked addict, I'm wondering if there are plans for a class-action suit against Disney for targeting children and getting them addicted so that they'll grow up and perpetuate the cycle of Disney co-dependency upon their own children?

Eeeeks, I hope not!

Luigi's Girl I LOL when I read your post I thought it was me posting I do the exact same. My husband will not let me talk about our trip at all it's not until Oct 30. Thank goodness for DIS.

Hi, my name is Disney Fool, and I am an addict. Also addicted to these boards; and I've been known to occasionally sniff Allearsnet.com, and MouseSavers.com., but I'm trying to cut down. Yes, we know we have a problem, but we don't want to be cured. We like it this way. I used to have money in my pockets, now, I'm perpetually broke because I'm always planning another trip. Even worse, friends and relatives keep taking me aside to help them with their planning problems. Before you know it, they're hooked! :earseek: I've been addicted for so long, reality is a place I visit; I live at Disney world.

Hello, my name is jackskellingtonsgirl and I am a DIS board addict. Since we have never been to Disney as a family I am not sure where DH and DS will fall, but I have high hopes for them.

I haven't been to Disney since I was a teenager, have never stayed onsite, have only been to MK. I have lots to learn!

I don't know if I will cry when we enter MK. I cry at the Monster.com commercial that plays "Rainbow Connection", so anything is possible!

I wish I needed a booster pack. I have Disney Trivia I and II, Disney Charades, and Disney Scene it. I can't get anyone to play with me, especially DH. I have only played each game a handful of times and even when I do get to play they handicap me by making me answer the entire card correctly before I get my chips or can move on. :earboy2:

My name is Diane and I am a Disney addict.

I took my first son by my first marriage 3 times in the 80's. We have taken our four children 4 times since 2000 and I have taken 2 girls only trips since 2003.

I have been EXTREMELY hooked since 2002 - don't know why all of a sudden but like I tell everyone.....I must be going through my mid-life crisis and there are ALOT of other things that I could be doing!!! LOL

I LOVE this addiction and also must have a trip in the works to feel complete!!!

the DIS helps but there is no cure for what we have :cool1:

honestly if there was a cure I don't think I'd want it :jumping4:

Yes we're crazy here but it's a good fun kinda crazy

I've been addicted to Disney since I was in the 4th grade (im 22) on a family trip while i was in the 4th grade I asked a CM while we were waiting in line for HM how he got to work at the coolest place in the world and he told me about the disney college program i turned to my mom and said that I was going to work at disney world when i go to college ( my mom told me this story the day my acceptance letter came in for the wdw college program i didnt remember this at all) since that day in the forth grade I was hooked
and everythings been about disney ever since!

Hi, my name is Anne and I'm an addict. :D

I just get the smile and roll of the eyes whenever I talk Disney with those that just don't get it. They know better than to say anything to me.

I've successfully hooked my kids too! The past two days my DD3 has had her mini rolling suitcase packed because she is going to Disney. Mind you we were just there 11/29-12/4. My DD7 enthusiastically will talk Disney with anyone and loves to tell people about different rides and what she likes.

The next dilema we'll have to face is telling the kids we are going without them. Currently planning our 10 yr anniversary trip in May, adults only. They will be very jealous. Also planning DCL for Sept, maybe that will make them happy. They just love watching the DCL planning DVD.

If I had to pick my addictions I guess Disney although expensive not too detrimental to the health. Don't plan to give it up anytime soon. :D
