I feel you folks are freaking out over nothing. How many of you actually buy a single day ticket? Those of you that live in Florida have the resident discounts or are pass holders. The people that are in Walt Disney World for conferences should have opportunities to purchase tickets at group rates. Chillax it will be fine. Please don't post mean things about my feelings.
Scarcasm people....scarcasm.....sorry if it was before your coffee...geeze....just trying to lighten the mood but in traditional dis fashion the haters never fail to DISappoint.....carry on...
That's actually not how it is. The Value tier is what the previous regular price was. I understand having occasional price increases, especially when there's something new, however they've pretty much added nothing and are charging more, significantly more in some cases. Hope Universal doesn't wind up using this pricing model as it will give them an advantage over Disney that they can use in advertising...sort of like the "Bags fly free" that Southwest touts. That's how it is but it's just more expensive than it used to be.

I think it would be fair better had they continued with letting the tiered pricing of the Universal Express passes be the equalizer for the crowded times.Too bad... Universal started this in the states. Demand pricing went into effect at US Hollywood. In fact, the practices they put in US Hollywood make this seem tame.
At this point, Universal has made it clear they feel they are on par with Disney. And with their new hotel and water park, plus the land they bought? New rides, and refurbs coming online? You can bet by end of 2016 demand pricing appears in Universal Orlando.
