I'm a person who loves other people's dogs - I love to pet them and play with them and pay attention to them, but am not (at least at this point in my life) a good match for all the responsibility of a dog.

I'm absolutely loving all the dog pics, though!!!

I have always loved dogs but never had growing up. My DH and I have rescued 2 dogs over the years. Our first was a golden retriever/greyhound mix that we adopted when she was 4 and lived to be 13. Our current is a shepherd/hound mix that we adopted at the age of 2 and is either 10 or 11. The vet and pet insurance have a different year and month listed and are not sure who is correct. Unfortunately she was abused so has some issues but has come a long way.

I am allergic so no furry pets for me, dog, cat or otherwise.

We said Goodbye to Gus March 18 of this year, so we currently do not have a dog. We are seniors, and in November, we will find a senior dog who needs a home. We are ready.
