I and several others have received emails stating that we must now send in the Holiday card to receive the orders placed.

When I got the card, it said simply use the HOLIDAY code when placing the order. Sending it in was not a requirement and now my card has been misplaced/thrown away. So, even though, I qualified for this promotion, I can't take advantage of it because THEY don't know how to run a promotion.

They stink.

I just received the same email. Looks like they will have a lot of unfulfilled orders in the warehouse:(

and a LOT of unhappy customers--gee, right at Christmas time.

Too bad Warner closed all their stores.

Trying to be proactive here. ;)

Just a reminder to keep things friendly and informational. Debating posts will be removed. We have a Debate Board for people who would like to Debate this issue.

THANKS! :)

Am I missing something here? It sounds informational and not like a debate. I thought all opinions happy or un were welcome. That's what makes these boards helpful.

No travelitis - you have not missed anything. As I said, I was trying to be PROactive. You know, head 'em off at the pass. Stop trouble BEFORE it starts.

And I just wanted to stop people BEFORE they started from turning this into a "Disney is Right -Disney is Wrong" Debate.

That's all. :)

beansmom - Have you tried calling Disney? They would have a record of your previous order and I would think they would be able to give you the discount based on the order history.

I have a feeling that may be the only reason I was shipped my two orders using the $15 code.
Although when I e-mailed them Tuesday, I was upfront about using the red gift cards in the DS already.

I *AM* a guest that disney provided said card to. In August I purchased over $100 at the Disney Store in Valley View Mall in Dallas Texas and received the Holiday coupon at that time. The card stated that I had to merely use the HOLIDAY code in the promotion code box and I would recieve $15.00 off my order. Nowhere on this card was it stated that it was necesary to mail this card in for redemption and I feel that asking for the card at this point is just a way for Disneystore.com to not honor the promotion offered. Also, when I placed my orders, the website clearly stated "ONE DISCOUNT OR PROMOTION PER ORDER"...not per person, not per household/family.

It is not my fault that this promotion was poorly planned and executed. I feel that asking for the card for redemption now is a poor way of handling this fiasco.

I would like to receive my orders at the agreed upon price that was quoted to me in the confirmation email. In the interest of good customer service, I feel this is the manner in which this problem should be handled.
This is the email response that I just sent back to them. Oh, well, I wasn't gonna get my stuff anyway.

Amen to that!
Disney knows how to get their *guests* talking. Too bad they can't figure out how to do it in a positive sense! ;)
Glad you wrote them and I hope the outcome works out well for you.

If I'm understanding this wrong, somebody tell me! It looks to me like Disney isn't doing what they promised in the news article that was published. Didn't they say in that article, that any order placed before the revised rules were posted would be honored? By the email I got, it looks like it doesn't matter when you placed your order, at least for most people, unless you mail in that card, you're not getting your order, period. Have I got this right?

Thats the way I am taking it too...I got the email about my orders and will not be receiving them evidently until I produce a card...

I wrote back and told them how I felt about the whole thing, not that they seem to care..

DianeV....

Well for what it's worth (and that's not much)...you have my apologies if not Disney's. I'm not taking all the blame here, but I can see where those that are entitled to the discount would be just a little ticked with those of us who used it that weren't entitled to it.

Peachgirl:

I really dont think they should be mad at anyone. We have already (at least most of us) stated that we used it because it was posted and it went through without any mention of a card...If they should be mad at anyone its Disney for not setting it up correctly.

But I do have to say if someone really did place 65 orders that is probably what alerted them big time..and obviously that person knew what they were doing was not right. I cannot even conceive of placing that many separate orders. I know when it gets to be taking advantage of a good deal.
