I'm a Christian too but I disagree with you as I believe in Heaven and Hell. May he get what he deserves.

I, a Christian, also disagree with you. Had Arafat turned from his wicked ways while he was still alive, no matter how late, my Christian obligation would be to accept God's will to bring him to heaven. But on Judgement Day, as things stand now, Arafat did not repent for his sins and turn to Christ and I will not weep at his passing. Jesus will weep for him, but Jesus is a MUCH greater man than I am. Jesus will weep for satan himself on that final day, hoping against hope that he would accept Jesus as Lord.

No. Arafat was evil and he did not turn from his evilness. I weep for what the world might have been had Arafat been at least a reasonable man. But he was not reasonable. He was against God. He will rot in hell. That is God's justice and I accept that.

As angry as I am at Arafat for all of his blown chances and squandered responsibilities, punishment wasn't my first thought. Hope was. The Palestinians have a chance to be led to peace now. Hope. Hope. Hope.

Arafat will be sent to hell. I feel no anger about that. Just a sense of justice.

Well, this wasn't the best received news in our house this morning...

I'm still dealing with a very low platelet count. Fortunately my stomach is fine and I haven't had any bleeding in my brain! But it's scary that someone with similar labwork to me is dead.

I sure hope that the Palestinians put someone committed to peace in Arafat's place.

If he believed in JC, I might agree with you, but Arafat only prayed to one god - the god of hate. G-d is a merciful god, but he is also a vengeful god and he will take vengence on Arafat.

Then as a Christian, you are aware that it is too late for the Husseins and Arafat. They aren't Christian. Remember the verse that begins "I am the way, the Truth and the Life.....? Those guys missed the train. It has long pulled out of the station.
