Ditto. Don't overplan your trip. Let some things be spontaneous. You'll have much more fun that way.

Being spontaneous at Disney is on of the most enjoyable things you will do.

LOL, btdt!! My first trip with my boys years ago, we made it, followed the UG, and loved it, did it, dh had to put ds on his shoulders and run to keep up with crazy Pregnant wife running to follow the tour guides - each night tucking in excited boys who poured over tomorrows tour guides, this all before AK!!

Then last year, ds were off to be camp counselors, dd never been, and she's 8. So I found the url from the UG, and poured over this sight spending hours making the best plans I could!! (and they were good!) but alas, not once did we make it to the opening of a park, not once did we follow those tour guides... I didnt get a PS into CRT... and.. and... but you know as I sat at the pool the first dday while DH slept... DD was so happy... it became hard to get her out of the Poly pool... and she was happy... so I went with that. This vacation is about joy, and we were at Disney!!

Now, dh still hasnt found the camera, so we are figuring if we can go back THIS summer again... and just have fun (but I would plan on making a few openings at MK!! LOL)

This is our 7th time in 10 years and I never make plans just go and have fun {and you will have FUN!!!!} . Don't get upset just go and wing it , it's a blast.

Hey, just slow down and relax. Even if you had no idea of what to do and see, you'll have a great time. I always divide our trip into what parks each day, what eateries are in that area, just to cut down on unnecessary travel, and an afternoon break at the resort for swimming and keeping the trip a vacation and not a marathon race. One day is devoted to the swimming holes and one day is devoted to shopping. Glas go shopping, guys play golf and meet in the evening for dinner. Planning rides in the parks is nuts, will drive you nuts and aren't worth the time. Because of lines and kids stamina, ride what you can, come back and ride what you missed. Staying on property gives you this advantage. Into the park early till about noon or when the sun beats you down, back to the resort for a swim, lunch or a nap. Back to the same or different park around 4 depending on which park is open the latest and spending one night in each till closing and a different one on other days. Only 3 actual parks we do this and then we do to the parks we like best, mainly MK, and hit things we really enjoy. All just a casual stroll and no rat race pace and we "git er done"

First of all RELAX!!! I've been going to WDW since the 1970's and didn't know I had to plan anything until I read these boards. Granted, I've been way too many times to count (hence no big long list at the bottom of my posts, couldn't do it and the mods would not like the room I took up!! LOL!!!), but I think some people plan too much and they miss the magic. Yes, some people are planners and couldn't do things any other way, but you sound like you are like us. I would study maps of the parks so you will know where things are and not walk in and stand there staring rooted to the spot. BTW, I just LOVE those people, nothing like watching people seeing the castle for the first time, young, old, I usually just stop myself and watch them. Pure magic!! Make some PS, but don't overdo. We NEVER make PS in advance unless we are planning a meal with a big party. And we ALWAYS get to eat where we want. We are very flexible though, times, etc. don't faze us at all. Go with the flow and smell the roses. Keep yourself open to the magic and it will find you. Trust me, you WILL go back. Make notes of things you want to make time for next time, restaurants you want to try. Nothing like seeing them for yourself and deciding if they are for you.

Our first trip was way overplanned, and it was miserable. Just pick out a few things for your "must do" list. I have been to WDW several times and still haven't done everything there is to do there.
